Really like this. I've only just got into the fandom over the last couple of weeks and there's just not enough Sam/Annie out there. Beautifully written, you've got the characters spot on. I'd like to think this is what would have happened if Sam's 'death' was properly explored on screen.

...on a random note, I just popped over to your profile (mainly to see if this story had some form of sequel) and I had to smile: For your A Levels you're doing 3 of the 4 subjects I'm doing (for me it's ICT as opposed to Maths!).

Marvellous writing. You nail both Annie's and Gene's characters very well, especially Gene's compassionate side, and the tension as Annie is forced to accept the truth, is terrific. The realiation at the end, that Sam died without learning that Annie is pregnant, is terribly moving but gives a sense of hope as well. Please write more LOM/A2A fics.

I liked this story. Very sad, but you've captured the reaction of someone in Annie's position so well. And it's nice to have some light at the end - the Sam/Annie story always deserves that.
