i do believe, kogoro mouri is aware... seriously, all that times and he didnt notice? that's impossible.

he's not that dumb, in a rare times he awake and conan give him clues, he can solve the case

and yes, there's this one time when conan tried to dupe him, it worked a bit late (conan wondered if the needle didn't stick)

Kogoro has more to him than the lousy drunkard, and sometimes it's a pity when the more serious side of him is either overlooked or briefly featured.

But wouldn't it be more to the point to entitle your fic "The Ally you never Knew"?

I agree, Kogoro is a slightly misunderstood character. While he can seem little more than a drunkard there is something that has kept him clinging to the detective profession even if he didn't get much money for it. And we all know how Kogoro loves that money :3

I think your right. I fully believe Kogoro know what happens and he is a detective. In chapter 727 he knew that he was about to fall asleep. He even grab his neck to protect it from the needle. You can read it at onemanga. Also I believe Takage has figured some of it out.

Really, really good! Well-written, entertaining, and a very interesting idea. I know there are actually a few episodes in the anime/files in the manga where Kogoro actually becomes suspicious of Conan for a short period of time but then shoves the idea aside. I think he'll figure it out, eventually, though. Anyway, before I start rambling on, I just wanted to say that I really liked this, and, as several other reviewers have already suggested, I think this has the potential for being developed into a longer fic - you definitely have the talent for it. Please continue! Or at least write some more DC fanfiction! :D

Nice fic. I enjoy the Kogoro knows idea every once in a while. He is good when it comes to solving things for family and friends, even if it takes a few nudges from Conan. Good job!

I read that one a while back! I'd like to think that he is a bit smarter than he often appears - nowhere near genius level, but he does have those flashes of foresight and inspiration every once in a while. Plus, we hardly ever get to see anything from anyone other than Conan's point of view (with any real detail), so for all we know someone might be hiding something like this from him.
