This was absolutely amazing. The perfect mix of Darkward and the Edward we know and love. His inner voice was lovely and funny and sexy. The lemons were hot as hell. The Cullens were super endearing and their interactions had me laughing out loud at several points. James was terrifying and the moment when Edward gave in and let the beast take over was just...chilling and heartbreaking at the same time. He fought it so hard. The HEA was hard earned. I knew when his eyes turned green after biting Embry that the wolf blood could probably make them human so I’m glad to see I was right!

wow! absolutely, incredibly wow! that was such an amazing piece of writing! i think I have read hundreds of ff and I never thought I would say this but this is my absolute fav. You are an incrrdwriter. The story line and characters were amazing.

So I wanted to say thanks for continuing your original one shot! The first chapter was fabulous, as were the next few.
That said, I'm going to stop reading here, as despite this being based on a completely fabricated story about non-human beings, your story seems to be too far fetched for me to follow, and just entirely unrealistic. I'm not a fan of alternative universes generally speaking, and this is why.
Despite this I want to say thanks for sharing - it's well written, moves at a good pace and you deserve the amount of reviews you have. It's just not my cup of tea. So thanks!

Ok so now ALL the vampires want to do this, even the Denalis. What if the mating bond disappears once they are human again? Also they will all look different - not unearthly beautiful. Carlisle won’t be as effective as a Doctor because hid sense of smell will just be human. They won’t be able to speed in their cars either. So many changes the’ll have to get used to. What if their ages catch up to them and they turn to dust? What if the Volturi find out and want to kill them because they know about vampires? So many questions. So many things to think about. Very worried.

So many concerns. What if he becomes human again only to re-contract the dormant Spanish influenza in his body? He also won’t be able to stay with the family for fear of them eating him too. He won’t be able to read minds to protect the family anymore either. I just hope this doesn’t backfire on them. I don’t like these possibilities at all. Very worried.

Well Edward and the gang and the wolves for that matter may not be able to track James, but certainly they can track Jessica right?

Would love to hear more -but interesting story

I thought sure I had read this fic before. The Halloween chapter seemed so familiar to me, but I don't remember the rest. I must have read an excerpt somewhere where GD was rec'd. I can't believe I hadn't read this fic before now, but better late than never! Thank you for sharing your story, I've enjoyed reading it. Your WindowWard was so enthralling. He was dark and light, dangerous and protective, always teetering precariously on the edge of passion and primal compulsion. He was good, but flawed. Bella was a bit dark and dirty and flawed too while being an essentially good and loving person. I appreciated that Sam and Jake were not one dimensional hotheaded characters. Your villain was despicable, yet you made me feel a modicum of empathy for him. Jessica was a hoot. The Wolf Council was firm and fair, not painted as closed minded. I also appreciated how the Denali sisters played into this story. Unique transformation arc. Off to read the sequel.
