That's mind boggling. What a choice she has there in the end... To live a lie, or die in reality... Or maybe I'm just reading this wrong. Darnit, is this one of those stories where we have our own interpretations of it? Must go think this over...

This story is very eerie... Not only do I have no idea what's truly going on, but my vivid imagination makes it even freakier. A nice little trick, there.

Ooh. Senseless violence. Melikes. *twitch* And as for this chapter. Now, everyone who reads this will kind of know how I think when I'm on an insomnia stint! Spooky. But tis good. Jane's world just gets... freakier. *shudder*

After spending about half an hour reading all nine chapters of this (The post-writing daze has still got me in its grasp so I can't write anything myself) I can safely say one thing; this is freaky as hell. But it's cool. And freaky. But cool. *nods*

Grey is officially freaking me out. To be so casual after seeing both of them die only makes me feel that he knows something. (Okay, so now *I'm* paranoid!)

My only complaint is that, as an avid Neil/Jane fanatic, I would have *loved* to have seen the details of their conversation when Jane tried to explain what had happened and also when he insisted on joining her in Chicago. (I was especially interested in her choice of words as she described his "death" as well as what she may decide to leave out.) But that's just my personal preferences.

Well, if you didn't already have me totally hooked on this story, this chapter definitely would have done the trick! No *wonder* Neil had been acting all zombie-like instead of his usual outspoken self! And Aki involved in some way? Pardon my gushing, but this story is sooooo good! *VVVBG*

Ah! A writer after my own heart! Not only a DMB fan, but Peter Gabriel as well! I thought the chap. 5 title fit . . . Jane is looking for answers, after all.

This chapter had a very claustrophobic feel to it. The more Jane finds out, the less she actually knows. You're really doing a good job at twisting the plot as you go. (And Neil is just breaking my heart!)

Another thing that I've noticed about your writing is how much emotion and suspense you can fit into your chapters (which are relatively short). Most authors (myself included) write for pages and pages to forward the action. (My longest chapters come close to 30 pages, but I've read some well over 70 or more.) It is rare, and really quite remarkable, that you can say so much - with so much heart - in a comparatively smaller space.

You know, so few authors can make me feel all surreal, creepy and icky . . . and love every minute of it! Once more, this is terrific! And so many more questions than answers! Where is Jane's uber-paranoia coming from? (The Deep Eyes were like her family and yet she doesn't seem comfortable being around any of them now!)

Chapters 4 and 5 were awesome! I'll bet Neil is adorable when he's confused! *G* Though there's something else about him . . . . (Pre-"platform-incident"-Neil struck me as someone who would be all over the fact that a woman just showed up in his room!)

I love the little details you keep throwing in. (The description of the cat, the fact that Jane's "voices" knew Neil's door code, etc.) I can't wait to see how you tie them together!
