It was disturbing in só many ways, you created Very complex characters, made me hate them in one minute tgen love them in THE next. the Idea off telling about IT from otters perspectives was Just brilliant, as ir kept The whole mistery around his person. I absolutelly live How you developed The relationship between them and making izayoi to be a host was Very original! it was one of my fave fics ever! I spent days with the characters on my mind, trying to figure them out. Just brilliant. btw, How did you came up with IT being from China? did you inspired his persona in some book ou movie? I find it really intriguing that I started reading this magnificent story and keep getting hooked chapter after chapter.

Only did I realise in my list of favourites that I have indeed read this before! No wonder it gave me a wave of nostalgia. I am only saddened that this story has yet to be updated, and there is no actual closure. ):

I'm sure that I will accidentally reread this again in the future, solely because the story that you have created, is fit enough to be a novel by itself.

This is probably my favorite story out of all of your works. The way you kept the story flowing into canon and just wording in general is beautiful. I truly felt for all the characters - especially Sesshomaru and Shiroihana. The depth you added to their stories were so good and tastefully dramatic. The letters and writings of each character in the beginning of each chapter definitely helped a lot. Awesome, awesome work. Hope to see you writing again soon! :)

I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed reading this fic. It's been difficult for me to remember that Sessmom might not be the way you describe. The way you've explained everything just makes so much sense. I feel like this is always going to be the way I understand Sessmom and Sess's childhood and Izayoi as well. I really hope you get published. You write so well, and your writing style is so enjoyable! An you can definitely write romance. I hope you'll let your faithful readers know when you finally get published, so that we can read your work! I really want you to write about Akisame. I loved reading about her before and I really hope you continue her story. Good luck in the future though. I haven't been able to find any good books lately, so I hope to see more writers like you out there!

The Living Contradiction

I'm sitting here. It's 3:50 am and I'm a bit numb. Sure, I half expected this ending (well, near-ending anyway) but I didn't expect for you to wrap it up so neatly. You did an excellent job with this chapter, Shilyn. Heck, you've done an excellent job with this whole story. Two years ago I remember reading this tale and getting entranced with it, but I haven't kept up with it since fall 2010. I guess I was half afraid to read the inevitable, as if everything would pan out just as it did in the cannon, leaving me empty and angry for the umpteenth time. What's so strange, though, is that it did end up a retelling of the cannon, but in your own unique and satisfying way. I'm glad I came back to read it, even though I had to retrace some earlier chapters to do so.

Okay, small tangent over, I really loved the tension between Sesshoumaru and IT in this chapter (though I'd just love for them to have embraced one final time and then slapped the s*** out of each other). So many things were left unsaid in their exchange, but at the same time, it was just enough. Again, you crafted this story in such a way that it seems like it was part of the cannon from the get-go. I really enjoyed this chapter and I'd offer more feedback but, right now, I'm sleepy. xD I look forward to reading the future chapters really soon!

I love your writing. You are extremely talented. I have read and reread Runaway, and Return and now I can add the Way of the Sword to my favorite stories. I think you have captured Sesshomaru's probable personality very well. I would LOVE to read more about Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's children and how they interact in the future. Words cannot describe the intensity of my love for this story. It's magnificent! Each chapter has been an immensely enjoyable read; in fact, if I could describe the kaleidoscope of emotions I was experiencing while reading them, I would say that it was something akin to becoming immersed in a good film at a movie theater haha. Well done, and keep up the good work! This is one story that definitely deserves to be on my list of favourites.

The first quote is definitely Izayoi and I think the second is Sesshomaru. Mainly because his mother does say who sad she is and Sess just keeps it bottled up inside as usual. Have I mentioned that I love the quotes you put at the beginning of each chapter and the letters? Because I do. Like always, you have written an amazing chapter. You have continued to tie up the lose ends the movie and episodes left up to the audience to decide. I think you did well to make Myoga the one to know about Inuyasha being the key. I find it odd that Myoga didn't know his own Master's son. Seems strange, mabye he was just pretending not to know in the series for some reason. I feel so bad for Izayoi! Her life has been so difficult and will continue to be so, until her death. Also, I can't remember whether the series ever mentions why Izayoi dies. I hope you'll take this fic to that point! I feel so bad for Sess even if he is being cruel to Izayoi. There were definitely plenty of chances for Sess to make this whole ordeal easier for him, but he missed them. I can't really blame him though. His parents were always using him as a piece in their plans. How was he to know which choice was the right one? Can't wait for the next update! You fic is probably the best written one I've read on this website!
