MarisAres chapter 1 . 4/6 Would like for this to be made into a novel of series though it's not as realistic as it seems at first glance. For one the wraith do communicate, it's just with telepathy, telepathic races don't need radio after all. I also don't believe the centuries would've won as easily as they did. The human central nervous system uses electrical impulses to work so a gun that can stun a human would have a decent chance of frying a cylon of it could simple stun one, shutting it down until it could reboot. A huge ship is truly massive as well, it's sure size would play a large part in the wraith ability to defend or buy time until the can reach help, after all their hyperdrives still worked and they could simply leave and head somewhere for help. |
Chimera1123 chapter 1 . 7/19/2015 This is pretty cool. Any way you could continue it? |
Firest chapter 1 . 6/5/2015 Really good story. Barring a few nitpicks I think you caught how first contact between the two would go quite well. |
erik chapter 1 . 7/13/2013 A great scene-setter with a well written battle. |
Mackon chapter 1 . 12/15/2011 Nice little story and I think it might even happen that way. Need to luck on the part of the Cylons but IMO its within their capabilities. Thanks for sharing. |
MBB chapter 1 . 8/31/2011 An interesting and tactically logical ficlet. And a nice change to see an entire war discribed in only a handfull of paragraphs - most other BSG-SG1 crosses i've seen take chapters just for introductional skirmishes. ;-) The Wraith do have mental communication, but given their defensiveness that makes little difference in this battle. (Although a mental warning to other hives will make them able to adapt for future battles). I've speculated in myself about Wraith-Cylon encounters before, and I concluded the ships would combine and mutate, and eject their masters :-P (I never understood why the robots would follow humanoid masters given the purpose of their war) but you make a good case for them as soldiers. Another interesting encounter would be between the Cylons and the Asguard, as their clone-download eternal livestile is pretty similar. |
EsotericGhost chapter 1 . 3/7/2011 A wonderful piece of work. Loved it! |
Kansas Scout chapter 1 . 12/8/2010 I am not crying for the fate of the Wraith in this story. What happened couldn't have occured to a nicer people. Hmmm...Cylon conquest of Pegasus. That would place Pegasus just rimward of our part of the Galaxy after what I read from Ronald D. Moore on the location within our Galaxy of the Colonies and Cylon Space. With all the worlds inhabbited by humans in Pegasus it would be better in such a story for the Cylons to forego Cavil's Plan and just enslave these more primitive civilizations. Love the story by the way. I just cold see a possible end result of first contact between the Cylons and the Wraith. The extinction of the Wraith would not be the blessing the Pegasus humans wished for though in the long run. |
the good dr chapter 1 . 12/5/2010 Yeah, the wraith would be pretty screwed if they had to fight centurions. signed the good dr. |
Avid Reader Guy chapter 1 . 11/17/2010 I very promising crossover, if you ever feel like making a proper story of this I'll be sure to read it. |
Scourge75 chapter 1 . 8/15/2010 Awsome story, I hope you continue it. |
Eipok chapter 1 . 5/18/2010 If the Cylons had run into anything other than the Wraith, things would have turned out much differently. Good for them I guess. Although, it will take time for them to actually replicate Wraith tech. It would be unfortunate for them if the Tau'ri, Asgard, or, Forerunners forbid, the Replicators ran into them before that can happen. |
stark40763 chapter 1 . 3/12/2010 Looks like fate finally caught up to the Wraith, though whether the Cylons would be able to do that to the Asgard or SGC ships, that's a different story I suppose... |
eternaldead chapter 1 . 12/29/2009 Well written, but you made some commen errors. You say that they have no way to communicate, but they are telepathic so they have advantages in terms of communication. Their scanner can see much farther than the Cylons can jump, and they have no problem with seeing ships hiding behind planets or moons so the Cylons can not jump anywhere where they would not be seen immediately. Wraith stun weapons can be adapted as Renon's gun so they can destroy their enemies. |
albeva chapter 1 . 12/26/2009 yay nice story. continue? |
