I give up. Great uncles who are almost the same age as their nephews? Twin brothers who mostly lived abroad? Who also married cousins? Darcy is Lizzy's cousin twice over? (not a good candidate for marriage then). James Fitzwilliam not the father but the son? Who was her mother again? How did her parents die? Ye gods! How are all these characters related to one another? I'm sure a family tree will show it is perfectly straightforward but your characters have several names: Edward/lord milton, lord whatsisname who owns houghton (how does he fit into this family again?) and so on, and i've also lost track of how Lady Catherine is related to all these new non-canon characters. I'm not surprised you gave up on this. It's like a tangle in your workbasket that you will NEVER get unknotted. You should submit this to one of those logic problems booklets. I definitely need a grid pattern to work out who is who based on all the clues scattered across chapters and conversations. A promising story that got lost in the detail of too many new characters. Better luck next time.

This is the second time i have read this chapter and the relations between them all are clear as mud. Could you have told us about the relations in a MORE complicated way? I don't think so. Please revise this chapter or have darcy sit down and explain all the relations in a systematic way before the introductions of this chapter.
