I marvel at your well wrought ability to make these characters live and breathe. Every conversation is exactly what and how they would speak, pause, breathe and think. You give enough detail and weight so that it is if I, the reader am there, hearing and seeing them, not merely reading. I dearly wish you wrote commercial TOS novels.

this was excellent storyline! No matter what logic said, we know each one, Spock would pick up. Spock reasoned that if he didn't, the crew would know, he wanted to use that tricorder, but was to shy to do it, and if he did, pick up anyway, the crew knew that tricorder was his favorite, no win situation! Ha!

I did not want this last chapter to end! I cannot believe that out of these nine wonderful one-shots you've written so masterfully I actually like the one that had Sulu cutting Spock's hair and putting makeup on him the best, but there it is. I still have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard at some of your lines..."Sulu tilted his head to consider the results and concluded that he was a genius."

Seriously, no one ever writes Sulu in so much detail and here you have written him so well! Thoroughly enjoyed every one of these but thank you for this last one especially. I only wish it were longer.

I love this chapter! I love the idea that Starfleet is a bit like the old French Foreign Legion, where you go when you need to get away from your previous life and start over. I love considering Kirk and Spock the Irresistible Force and the Immovable Object. I love it that Kirk got treatment when Spock slapped him in "The Naked Time" and in "This Side of Paradise" so that Spock wouldn't see a bruise on his face and feel guilty. I love it that McCoy knows that Spock loves Kirk and doesn't tease Spock. And more. A lot of fun from start to finish.

It seems as if you're combining TOS and reboot here, giving Scotty the reboot's "stuck on Delta Vega" past and giving Pike the doubts about Starfleet's direction that reboot Pike had. You can do that, of course - you can do anything you want in fan fiction - but it does give this chapter a non-TOS tone, which makes it feel odd to me, given that I'm reading it in the TOS section.
