I didn't think Blair was out of character at all. You still had her little disclaimer in there about how she doesn't approve of where Rufus lives or how he dresses, etc. When it comes to Chuck, Blair absolutely has a softer side, and I don't think it's out of character at all for her to support him and take care of him. I loved that she realized how important the van der Woodsen family was to him even though he'd never said anything about it. And I really loved that he considered her part of his family. So sweet. I think my favorite part was Rufus pointing out that Blair knows him best and that she does care.

The beginning made me really happy as well. I'm so glad that Lily and Rufus both wanted Chuck in the family photo, and I thought it was so nice of Rufus to offer his fatherly services to Chuck should he need them. I really wish we'd gotten scenes like this on the show.
