Excellent!

I am not usually one to review very often but so far this series has really touched me. It's made me bawl my eyes out and laugh and smile. The way you wrote you're characters caused me to feel as if they were truly there and so the loss of them broke my heart. Can't wait to continue to read the rest of the series.

This was very - nice to read after the tragic ending of Where Shadows Go. You made me feel that Vi and Hal didn't have a chance to grieve the loss of themselves and life, the way Lily had - which somehow made it better for me.

You my Lady, have brought me to tears with this series. This was so beautiful, and touching. I lost my grandmother 6 months ago. She had been a constant in my life forever, and I still feel the sting of her passing. I am making my way through the rest of your stories, Never Again, broken wings, and Prince manor being my favorites so far. I salute you dear author, you have inspired me to venture into writing my own Severitus stories.

so Vi and Hal, too...wow...how sad!

While not as heart-breaking as Lily's death, it was still a shock. Poor Sev ~ it's like one thing after another for the man. Third time's the charm - or curse in the case of Severus.

Man, that sucks royally.

Hopefully, he won't have to deal with any more deaths. He's strong and sturdy, but the man can only stand so much grief. I plead on his behalf, haha! But I'll just have to see, as you've already finished the series.

(Wait..it IS finished, right?)

he's doing a terrific job, so far. But I like how you made him finally crack. Tears are sometimes a wonderful medicine. That's why we always encourage patients' families to cry for a loved one so that they don't end up hurting themselves or other people later on.

Given Snape's background, now that you pointed it out to me, I am very excited to read NEVER AGAIN.

But don't worry, I'll go through the other one-shots.

I KNOW THE LOOK AND THE VOICE, TOO! I think every dad has it in them. And it's 10 times worse than the spanking, because it promises pain later if it's not obeyed immediately.

Then, there's the countdown.

I honestly thought that Harry would get it bad because Severus was on his last string when he decided to throw that tantrum.

As for Harry, what a poor child. I'm glad that he lost those people when he was so young. A part of him still doesn't understand and grasp what happened. It's a little selfish, but the deeper the roots, the harder they fall. So, at least he was spared even more pain. And at least he has Severus. And his various aunts and uncles.

Loving every moment of this.

oh wow...I was coming here to read the halloween story with Draco and Hermione that you suggested in a review from potions and snitches and instead saw this and simply had to read! I wondered what had happened to Vi and Hal...so terrible, the part with Harry at the cemetary almost made me cry, I loved the characters in this series and hate to see them so upset...I had to remind myself that it all turns out ok for the boys later in the series lol :)

This was very sad. I'm glad that Dumbledore was able to help Severus. Losing Lily and her parents so close together must be very difficult for Harry and Severus. Wonderful story!

You made me cry, but it was a lovely story. I too wondered what exactly happened to them. It's so sad they couldn't be there for Severus and Harry. Thank you for sharing.

i like this story. You have a wonderful way about writing the pain Severus is feeling.

I'm sorry about your losses, and can see how this may have been somewhat cathartic.

Parts of it were extremely hard to read, but as always with your stories - the story was well written, and I had to push on, inspite of the difficulty, to see how it resolved.

I was quite glad that Albus was able to get Sev to move beyond the shock of the deaths and begin to grieve.
