LoreleiZabini chapter 6 . 4/10/2010 Fantastic story... i liked chapter 6 where you tied the fic back into cannon the most. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this... |
Pointer3109 chapter 6 . 1/5/2010 I'd say he made the other guy regret it..and stayed anonymous, too. |
Tentrees chapter 6 . 1/4/2010 Give it a bang and keep using logic and fighting hard and dirty. Never give up and never quit. |
Pointer3109 chapter 5 . 12/16/2009 Basic infiltration training. The bit with transfig masters reminds me of an old coach who liked to say "Give me two hundred percent". Which always screwed with my mind because I was a literal kind of kid. Twice maximum doesn't Avoid killing ground...unless its yours. Always good advice. I usually use the rational 'If they can touch you, you can touch them.' Anything else is likely wrong. Special circumstances apply. Spell grenades are cool. Sounds expensive. If they're reusable the other side can do it. Potassium and water works wonders. Enjoyed it. |
Tentrees chapter 5 . 12/16/2009 Always make the other guy regret the day he meet you. Go Chicago on him and go home. Love the spell grenade and the ward generator. Post more soon! |
Pointer3109 chapter 4 . 12/12/2009 Terrorists are NOT soldiers. NOT prisoners of war when captured. NOT covered by most international conventions concerning captured soldiers. Sometimes that makes for tough treatment of them. Gee, that's too bad. Terrorists are NOT nice people. They are not good people. They ARE every bit as evil as portrayed in this story. Hurting them does not make you a bad person. It makes you a sane one. |
Tentrees chapter 4 . 12/11/2009 Welcome to the grey. The place where in times long past the rough men and fiery women stand the watch in the darkness beyound the fire. Where they keep the raiders off the sleeping children, graineries that would feed them through the winter and carried the seed to plant in the spring. They where the ones who kept the wolves off the sheep and the lions off the cattle. Did they hesitate to kill? I think not. They fought for the sleeping children behind them and the right to feed them. To not starve because the bandits and animals feasted on the livestock and take our daughters and wives to bed as the blood of our fathers, brothers and sons stains the ground. These where the simple clean cut fights. But times change now Harry has found that going into the light of our enemies fires and killing them before they can bring war to us means more of our children will live to see their childrens children grow. Not for the thses clean cut lines faught for so long in the past but for the ideas and visions of old men who cannot see the world has changed and that lack the vision to see a way through it or wish to roll the world back and to deny the change is happening. We call it the House of War and its rules are not made by well dressed men around the dueling ring who all go home at the end of the day and the healers have wavedthe wands. This is the knife fight in the dark at the sentry post, which leaves one to drown in his own blood as the other moves into the fire to slaughter your comrades as they sleep. This is the bombing of cities, the firebomb through a window or torch held to the tatch, the poisoning of the water holes. The slaughter of all your enemies soldiers and allies, the destruction of their fortified bases and cities until they are all dead or cannot fight anymore. This is the house of war which does not determine who is right but who is alive. |
Pointer3109 chapter 3 . 11/26/2009 Not bad. I'll see where you go from here. |
Pointer3109 chapter 2 . 11/26/2009 Hermione might be interested. |
Pointer3109 chapter 1 . 11/26/2009 The fact that one of your instructors was willing to use a pistol to keep you from self defense would be a put down for me. A tutor would be a good idea, though. |
Tentrees chapter 3 . 11/21/2009 LOVE the story. Getting Harry to think critically (and getting Hermione out of Dumbles reach)are the best was to set up an independent and powerful Harry. Critical reasoning and planning always trumps the sheeple syndrome and allows anyone to run rings around the MoM. |
Tentrees chapter 2 . 11/7/2009 LOVE the practicality of the school. Love the fact that the British government has its own wizards. Supprised that the PM hasn't dissallowed the attendence of mundaneborn children in fully magical schools. either that or Harry needs to get them the list of Hogwarts attendies and addresses so that the parents of the Hogwarts mundaneborn children can pull their kids out. Also have them given a flushing draught and a finate incantatum to strip of both bindings and memeory charms if possiable. PM when he is reaady and has read in a couple of battalions needs to step on the Wizengamot like a bug and see that the DE and purists spend time in jail, have their estates stripped and sold for renumeration or just required to remove themselves from the public areana. Forever. Or feed them to the Arcumatula on my farm where I raise them for making silk. Also I would love to see what the PM and Government would have to say about the actions of the MoM in regard to the Mundane. The ministries records would be a fascinating read for Scotland Yard. As for the bug spray. I hate large bugs. Spent to much time in places with large bugs. I refuse to believe that a bug thesize of Aragog hadn't eaten out all the good natural critters in the forbiden forest. They are a pest at best and a plague at worst. How many children, pets, campers have gone missingaround the boundries of the forbiden forest? No just kill the bugs or use them on farms to make silk under very controled conditions. Love the first thing that they teach harry is going to be mind shielding. Wonder what Snape will think when he slams his head into that wall and Harry mentally steps on whats left until the Snarky gits brain is smoking mush. |
Tentrees chapter 1 . 10/28/2009 Always a good iedea to get the Crown involved. If had been PM while the 1rst war was on and had been ignored their wouldn't have ben a single firstborn going too the MoM controled schools after 1975. Notices too require national identification and Heatlth cards would also have been sent to all of the wizards and witches of England, plus the goblins, dwarves and centaurs, etc... Crown should have started its own series of magical clinics to by pass the Ministry and pureblood controled St. Mungoes. Pay for a couple of students too go out of country for their potions mastry then have them come back and make wolvesbane to temp the were's out of the MoM area's and into working for the Crown (or at least remaining neutral. Then get the new Potions masters working with some bio-chemists and immunologists for both a vaccine and a cure or other long term means for control. Capture a couple of acromantula and work out their physiology. So that a virus or pesticide can be used in a spray form over their nests (spray can packs from a broom). Render them sterile as that will confuse them and tempt them to remain in place, after the spray has had time to work send in the RAF with napalm and cluster bombs. This rapidly recuces their numbers and keeps the survivors from coming back. Repeat as neccessary. If the MoM won't do its job to the Crown's standards then the Crown will do the job and relegate the MoM to the dustbin of Histroy. |
