I've actually read the book you used for this. It was an awesome book and, though there are huge differences, you also followed the plot well enough that I kind of knew what was going to happen before it actually occurred.

Though you had me at the end. In the book, the Dog Star couldn't come back. He and the sun just found the small girl a new doggy companion that looked just like him. I like your ending better.

I absolutely ADORED this! Castiel was perfect as a dog, and his transition from doggy!love to romantic!love worked and avoided any possible ickyness.

I also LOVED seeing Dean with a dog, and Sam's perspective on the whole damn thing.

In short, brilliant.

Oh my goodness! This story is adorable. You have captured puppy Cas so well. How curious and loving he is. This is splendid gem of a story and I excited to go and read the next chapter!

1) I'm glad you went with your gut and didn't finish this with a big sex scene. The story had such a magical, innocent feel to it, and it would have been jarring - in fact, I think Dean even kissing Cas was a little abrupt. (BUT HOT.)

2) A little abrupt...maybe it's that part of me that ADORED "Tell Me What's Right" and wanted to see a little struggle to believe, and to accept, and to give in. But, you didn't want to write that all over again. :P I tell you though, my mind keeps spinning around longer, more involved reunions...

Oh, this wrap up of the Zoi quest was so much fun!

I was initially confused over the connection between random-cute-girl-with-car-trouble at the house and RUBY at the garage, but I finally figured out you were just introducing the first girl for some Cas-jealousy action and Ruby for the Zoi plot and that there was no connection. (There isn't...is there?)

The big chase with the attack and the magic and the Zoi and the transformation ...WOW. That had some serious soundtrack music racing through my head. :D and I have to admit, the image of Dean cradling his dead dog with tears in his eyes and Castiel watching helplessly- GAH! *sniffle* I LOVE that he saw the flash of blue fire.

DUR, I LOVE HAPPY ENDINGS. NVFIUNVIJHNJBV.

I must admit, I'm a little sad at the lack of sexy time, but that's OK, because it was just wonderful and fluffy! (I recommend a follow-up one-shot when you get the muse)
