Awesome Story! I love it. This short story is one of the best ATLA fanfics I have ever read. I really like how the two Aangs interacted in each other's timeline.

So touching "cursed mirrors" - for Aang the Avatar at least - is a bit like stepping into the Spirit Realm?
I mean, OBVIOUSLY they don't work the same way - for one, his mind was switched but the body remained active (sort-off).
BUT the cryptic advice, sounds very simliar to what the previous Avatar Guides would say/do.

So, a chance where Kya and Hakoda are best-friends with the Avatar.
Well, it's a good thing Zuko warned Aang NOT to try to befriend his father Ozai (but he will, He's Aang/Air-Bending and doesn't want to kill anyone. Not even in a fight-to-the-death). Besides, General Iroh practically raised Zuko after the INCIDENT, so the fire-prince should still be okay.

Sokka, that's not how a rendering of the time-space continuum wipe/replacement works - if things had changed, no one, absolutely no one, would have known that the present was anything other that what it is now. So asking "did anyone poof out of existence" does nothing except break the tension.
Which, it needed breaking.
He's good at that - being the comic relief without being the fool.

Again, so many interesting possibilities with this AU. It'd be interesting if, instead of managing to turn Iroh, Aang was joined by Lu Ten.

Your stories are amazing. I love your characterizations and the originality of your plot ideas. But at the same time every story that I finish reading, feels like the start to a much bigger and even more awesome story. Like this one, where I now imagine how Aang is gonna have a lot more time to prepare, goes looking for Iroh and tries to convince him to do the right thing (seems kinda unlikely to succeed, considering that Iroh's son is still alive) and in the end helps raise Sooka and Katara and goes looking for Toph.
It stimulates my imagination wonderfully, but at the same time I am never gonna get to read that continuation... .
But it's definitely worth it, can't wait to read your other stories.

Seriously. I love alternate/parallel/multiverse concepts, and this is one of the best ever. Kya and Hakoda being the ones to find Aang in another world... well... daang...

This is just too sad. I liked the quote of "That's just the way things go. We meet people, get to know them and then they get up and leave us behind." – Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World, 2005; it fits the story perfectly.

Oh... oh wow. Now I want to write crazy adventures about this Aang and Iroh and... Yes. I don't care, it might take a while, but I'm doing this.
