Melanie Furmston chapter 123 . 7/25 Absolutely loved this story. Just found it and have enjoyed the read. The right amount of everything and loved every character you included. Fee and Dante I think are my favourites. Right mix of personality and NO Bill which is a plus. Wish and hope that one day you will return to finish but thank you for sharing a great story! |
jwarden chapter 123 . 7/21 Oh my wish the story was complete... |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 123 . 7/2 It’s a shame when a compelling story that has had so much effort put into it languishes unfinished. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 119 . 7/2 I’m betting Niall took them. Sookie hasn’t done as he expected & wished in pursued the small, trapped angels into Fairy. By taking the two other women he has upped the temptation for Sookie to enter his realm and his grasp, plus he has two part Angel females to try to start breeding. Sooooo, it’s about time she pulled another of her stupid antics, surely while she is pregnant too. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 105 . 7/1 I’m confused. Earlier in the chapter Sookie ordered Jan to come to Vegas telling him that Jordun would watch over Louisiana, but then toward the end of the chapter she tells Travis that Jordun is on his way there & that Jan would look after Claudine, Fee, etc. once they were back in Shreveport. She can command Jan & used that, but then if it’s really Jordun that’s arriving, there’s some logic in that since he’s a daywalker & they could act before dark, assuming he arrives before then. Sookie is running on knee jerk reactions. One minute she’s belligerently telling the Council to F-off in her own mind about showing up in front of them & the next she’s making plans to charge straight into them. I get wanting to rescue Eric, but she’s risking herself, her unborn son, & just about everyone around her by going off half-cocked & not really taking time to plan. She gets all worked up when Eric decides to kill enemies, but never ever gives a second thought to putting those around her at risk of their lives. Ugh. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 104 . 7/1 Ugh. She is such an immature brat. Seriously, she should be kept leashed. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 103 . 7/1 Sookie has some nerve telling Pam she should be more tolerant. Her mind shouldn’t still be so narrow about things necessary to her own husband’s life & needs after living with him this long. She is still such a prejudiced twit herself. Geeze — and stubbornly stupid. I’d bet Vegas banks would arrange for a nighttime appointment for an Uber wealthy vampire & his Uber wealthy wife. Sookie didn’t need to go out in the daylight. She could have easily waited but can’t seem to not insist on putting herself & others in danger just to try to prove to herself that she’s right. I’m not one who would support the practice of keeping human pets or completely controlling women, but this Sookie really should be kept on a leash & kept behind locked doors when Eric isn’t available to keep her from doing stupid things. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 95 . 7/1 It occurred to me that Sookie’s excuses for not getting a DNA comparison to find out if Eric is Claudine’s biological father, except not being sure if Eric would allow it, are nonsense. Viable DNA samples are extracted from pieces of long dead animals all the time so Eric being technically dead should be a non-issue. Besides, it would be worth trying regardless of success just to know that A) if it could be done & B) whether he is or not. Agh! People who assume all women at least secretly long to have children drive me nuts! There’s no doubt that a majority of women do want to have children, especially via giving birth to babies themselves, but those women who don’t share that desire deserve to be believed. Women who don’t want to have children aren’t likely to waver in that preference nor are they likely to be secretly coveting it. Personally, while I don’t begrudge those that choose to reproduce, I have never understood why people want to do it, beyond the ‘biological imperative’ so many insist is the cause. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 94 . 7/1 Why would he put the emerald back into the cookie jar? They’re up in the bedroom area where the safe is. Why wouldn’t he put it into the safe since he seemed to disapprove of Sookie taking it out to begin with & then that she failed to put it back in the safe? |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 90 . 7/1 I’m thinking Clovache went home to seek permission to have whatever they use for birth control removed, optimistically hoping for vampire fertility & to have a child. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 89 . 7/1 She might be gaining some understanding, but Sookie’s HUGE hypocritical streak hasn’t diminished. In fact, it might be even bigger than before. She gets squirrelly about the hunt despite the fact that even after she became consciously aware of burning Newlin she chose to continue to burn him? Then freaks out over the likelihood that Jerahmeel has been with thousands of females & likely already has many children. Really, really absurd to go there when Jerahmeel is several millennia old (there are so many other things to freak out about in the potential pairing of Jerahmeel & Claudine) & she’s married to Eric knowing his reputation & age. She’s such a twit. It does feel creepy to think of ancient beings looking forward to having a relationship with someone who is just a baby just like it’s creepy that men of our time still eagerly take up with young women who are young enough to be their daughters or granddaughters. That brings me to my acceptance of the Eric/Sookie relationship & I feel like a hypocrite myself. But, the unique personal limitations of Jeharmeel & Sookie (also her Angelic offspring) pretty much cancels out the creep factor. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 84 . 7/1 Leaving the camera behind feels a little forced as a device to move the plot along to a new crisis. It’s no big leap for anyone to accidentally leave something behind like that, but since she had just used the camera to take a photo of Newlin, I would think taking it with her would be at the forefront of her thinking. It’s also awkward that she would be foolish enough to carry evidence of Claudine’s otherness around in public. That seems like something at least Eric would already have considered & warned everyone to avoid doing. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 82 . 7/1 It’s easy for Eric, & I guess the others, to be excited about Claudine learning to fly, but how are Sookie & the other daylight folks going to cope when the spoiled little Angel cops an independent, rebellious moment & lifts off into the air? I’d like to have witnessed the scene of Dr Ludwig telling the family vampires & the Britlingens about the possibility they could be of become fertile. Interesting twist to call into question that having Sookie’s blood might be part of what would allow vampires to be fertile. That hadn’t occurred to me. If that is the case though, would that only be necessary for vampires, not fairies or Britlingens? |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 81 . 7/1 Surely the fertility magic is in Sookie. Neither baby Claudine nor Jerahmeel were present when she got pregnant the first time. Even if she’s not ready to believe it without DNA evidence, I can’t see she was raped based on canon & I’m confident Claudine is Eric’s. If she won’t allow herself to be confident of that, she should ask Eric about running his DNA too. Amelia seems (like most versions of the character) to be more of a nosy pest than she is helpful. She’s like a prying, leaky, careless steamroller. She seems to lack any discretion or understanding of boundaries. I like that Sookie has realized that Amelia can’t be trusted with everything. Jerahmeel is placing himself well. Playing nice & showing up to watch over Sookie & Claudine frequently & casually so early on in the baby’s life, it’s likely Claudine will be eager to marry him when the time comes & Sookie will be supportive, at least until she thinks about Claudine leaving to live in the Demon world with him. |
