Great story! I loved the crossover.

I discovered this story awhile ago and loved it. I just re-discovered it on my favorites list and I still love it. I wish you would write more though. It would be fun to see Lightman and the Doctor butt heads more often. Also, I had an idea for a sequel/follow-up to this story. If Emily becomes the Doctor's companion, it would explain how the Doctor knew about the Cooper case. Just a thought. Love the story.

Heh, I love it when the Doctor just sweeps in and deals with an alien problem, and rhen promptly leaves, leaving the normal people wondering what the hell just happened :)

An emotionless alien is a perfect choice to get Lightman interested, for sure. I also liked the Doctor's unconscious contempt and superiority. Not a bad short work - someone else pointed out a few misused words (quite/quiet), but nothing seriously impaired understanding.

If you think about it, the Doctor and Cal Lightman share quite a few traits. Each is manipulative and a liar (I'm thinking of Seven and Eleven particularly but not exclusively), arrogant and superior (Six and Three), eccentric (Four, Ten, Eleven) and a bit of a soldier (Nine, Eight) with a dark past (One, Six, Seven, New Who trio) but he still understands people (Two, pretty much any of him). I'd be curious to see someone compare the two in a longer work - I don't know if you'd be interested, or if anyone else reading this might be. Maybe I'll try it someday.
