I really hate Oliver. He feels so manipulative and selfrightous. Obviously this is just my opinion- and he's a fascinating character. I just can't stand him. Around him Casey acts so weak, and needy, whereas before I feel like though she had lots of issues, she was stronger internally.

"Maybe she could help him". Sigh. This always is conflicted right? What if you can change someone, save them? Though I certainatly believe people can change, I also think that getting involved with someone with the idea that you can change them is flawed. People can change themselves, but often choose not to, and when you get too close to something dangerous, it's all to easy to get hurt or find yourself changing instead.

Woah. "It is a precarious thing to protect those who do not wish to be protected." Oliver and Ivan are more alike than any of us have realized, I think. I see both as over controlling- in the name of "protection". I trust neither.
The difference is, Ivan didn't kill anyone, and Casey hasn't really tested Oliver yet. Yikes. Also- her draw to him and his to her seems senseless- I feel like they don't know each other at all- and I'm one of those people who feels like knowledge, even if it's unpleasant knowlegpdge, is incredibly important. She especially knows almost nothing about him or his true character, and what she does know is sketchy at best. She knows a little about his trials, and his relative views on truth and ethics, and that he is kind to her. It reminds me of "Into the Woods" a bit- when the witch says "I'm not mean I'm not nice I'm just right". Both Ivan and Oliver believe they are right, but one is charming and the other not. Personally, charm makes me suspicious- I place much more value on sincerity and honesty. Which I feel both guys seem to lack.

Okydoky so Ivan's the one that goes all insane and creepy. Hooray. Ugh what a cliffhanger, and I only have to click next to see the rest! Good chapter!

Aaaah! Why would an Ivan/Casey mood be a problem? Cause I totally have joined in shipping them. Oliver also kind of creeps me out- only because the idea he's been waiting for his match from the dragonflies or whatever is creepyish. Idk. I just really like Ivan's reallness- he's got flaws and gets conflicted. Oliver doesn't seem quite as real to me. But I've got a prejudice- pop YA fiction has put me against the idea of attractive mysterious guys. Cause half the time they are unbalanced. But hey, Oliver doesn't seem really insane. Ok, time to continue...

I'm getting way into this story- it's really good. So- just wanted to mention- Dog Friday is an actual fiction book isn't it? Are these all books from the real world? Anyways this is wonderful, I'm totally intrigued yet not confused enough to be annoyed. You hit a great balance!

Wow! That is all I can say right now to express vaguely what I think about this story. I must admit I was a bit hesitant about reading this, but I am glad I did.
The way you put Biblical teaching's into a fantasy-ish story is remarkable. And I don't think this story would be complete without the authors note at the end of each chapter.
What you say about not really knowing truth from deciet is very true. And there are time's when I wish I was mind reader not only
to just to get a glimpse in what people think so that I may understand them better, but also so that I may make better choices in life.

Hello! I have recently just read your whole story in about two days because I just absolutely could not put it down. Your cast of characters as well as your plotline and settings are fantastically original and I am just so excited to see the rest of this tale. This whole thing is put together so well it's embarrassing to think back at my one attempt to write a fan fiction story. Agh It was kind of horrid. So, anyway, I really hope more comes in soon, I mean I am a little worried because it says it hasn't been updated since early 2011 and it's almost 2014, but on your profile it says that it's being beta-ed and that's from 2012. I'm probably being silly but I just want to know what happens! So, thanks for writing such an awesome tale and I hope you never stop writing, because you are truly talented.

So, i finally decided to take some time and write a quick review. :D
This story pretty much has me going on 3 hours of sleep when i decide to read a few chapters, yeah a FEW, that never happens... The characters are fantastic, i don't know why but i love Zyri! This is also some of the most extensive world building of any fic i've read here, and the world you've created is amazing!
I sooo want both Casey and Ivan to get home with Oliver's help so Casey can rub his nose in it. :P

Stupid dragonfly prince. He could have gone through the portal and found his own girl instead of sitting on his magic behind and waiting for his buddies to bring him a "sweet maiden".
