I liked this. It does offer a plausible explanation of why Kuja spared Zidane when it would have been so easy to just dispose of him. I really liked the story" Zidane "read" and the fact that he asked Kuja for a bedtime story. Cute, yet also sad and a bit tragic.

A nice Story and well written. It also stays true and close to the characters personalitys. It's something that could have happened.

Also, for some reason it inspired me; gave me an idea for an other FF9 story.

This is an exceptionally exquisite piece, and I'm rather glad I happened upon it. It brings a whole new unseen depth to one of my favourite Final Fantasy characters of all time.

Anyway, I adore the way this was structured. You worked well to make the "six ways" theme fit, and at the end it had an ironic and beautiful twist. And every time it wasn't anything dramatic or overtly powerful that 'defeated' Kuja; it was always the little things.

Lots of good lines snuck in there, too, such as Kuja's correction about birthplaces and homes, the line about 'blood and flames', and Kuja's perfect characterization in the opening sentence.

Ahaha, Zidane 'reading' that book was priceless (ugh, how can kids be so aggravating AND cute at the same time?) The 'bedtime story' was the sweetest thing. You always have the neatest ficlet ideas.

A very nice diversion that ended on a poignant note!

This was so beautiful, I love how you've done it. I could really imagine that was exactly what happened when Kuja dropped Zidane on Gaia. Brilliant :D

Oh, this was beautiful, and tragic! I love it! And, yes, other than yours, Life on Terra is quite possibly one of the best FF9 fanfics out there.

I just wanted to leave a review telling you how much I loved this story. It adds a much deeper relationship between Kuja and Zidane and manages to interview into the ending without seeming forced. I applaud you. Great work!
