This is really beautiful. It is too bad Albus never took pains to protect SS this way, nor give him any respite for his solitary life. I wish there was more of this actually... I'd love to see a fic that explores the relationship they build together over that year and where it goes. Very nice.

What a intriguing and interesting first chapter. I love stories where Severus has someone (read Hermione) who belives in him when everyone else turn their back on him. I like the thougth of him not having to be alone in the most difficult part of his already hard life, I really hope that Hermione remember Dumbledores words when she most need to. I am very much looking forward to read more.

A pity that nothing like this ever happened; unless of course she chose to ignore while Snape was dying, which is certainly possible. She's been carefully taught that anything the Trio does is right, and nothing in canon ever seemed to stop them from believing this.
