I really like this story so far. In fact, I've liked it since i first came across it, years ago. I thought about it today and I just had to find it again. I could remember stuff about it, just not the title. But it was totally worth the time spent looking.

I don't have much criticism, but there was stuff I liked. Usually, it sticks out a bit to me when epithets are used in narration instead of a character's name, but u reminded me that there are nice ways to do it. It fits when u call ishizu "the priestess" because she's doing priestessly, cool things and it goes well w the tone of the story. I like it!

I know it's been a while since you updated your story, but here's to hoping you'll still read this. I gotta be honest with you, I read this back in 2011/2012 and never commented and then completely forgot about it. Shame on me! Just the other day, though, a friend and I were talking about YuGiOh and we were (unsuccessfully) trying to make sense of the plot. That's when, for some reason, I was reminded of your fic. Tbh, I've never been a big fan of the series as a whole but I do like the Egyptian arc and I distinctly remember that reading your story cost me a good night's sleep. (In a good way.) You've poured so much thought, detail, life and humor into this world and into your characters, it's astounding. Malik running through the tunnels has got to be one of the most intense scenes I've ever read in a fanfic. And your OCs are to die for! Also, that imagery at the end of chapter 7, the one of Malik's mouth filled with linen? Damn. Creepy as fuck.
So now that I've been singing your praises, I'm itching to revisit this fic and I'd very much like to translate it into German while I'm at it. Would you give me permission to do so? All credits to you, of course. I have an account over at .de which is more or less equivalent to and about as popular, at least in Germany. So... I'd love to hear your verdict.

I really like this story! The characters are all really interesting, and you've done a good job building up the relationships between the various characters. I'm intrigued to see where it will go next, particularly in light of Ishizu's dream.

Also, the "male Sphinxes to make little baby Sphinxes" line made me laugh.

This is the most well-written fic I have ever read, hands down. I aspire to write as descriptively and cohesively as you do. How had I not found this before? I thought I had had my eyes on all things Citronship.

I don't even know where to begin my praises, because this story is just that good for me. I'll start with the obvious research you've done in order to write this, which you should receive a standing ovation for. Everything is so accurate, it's astounding. The characterization is strong and steady, the fact that you created all of these unique OCs is brilliant, and the slow pace of the steadily building affection is tantalizingly good.

And your imagery, oh my god it's achieved perfection. As I was reading I had to frequently stop just to be amazed with your descriptiveness. My favorite is the scene where Malik is running through the tunnels of the pyramid in the complete black, and even though there is nothing to see we see it all because you masterfully use his sense of touch to describe the tunnels around him, and I swear I could feel the tomb walls with my own hands and I was shaking with the fear that Malik felt and now I'm gushing at you. OK.

I love that this story has the expected sexiness of a Citronship with an individualized twist. Usually I have an idea of how these stories will progress, but with this everything is original to the point that I'm dizzy with the possibilities of what could happen. Is Akefia's backstory going to be the same as in the original series? Doesn't actually matter, because whatever you decide to do with it will be brilliant, I'm sure. And I'm really excited to find out what exactly is going on with Malik's strange nighttime behavior. I am putty in your hands at this point.

Glad to see in your profile that this story had not been dropped. I can't wait to read more, and this is the kind of story that is worth waiting for.

I'm a new recruit into the world of YuGiOh Shipping, but this story is beautifully told. It's descriptive without being overflowing, and the actions are believable. I especially love the friendly bickering that cropped now and again through Akefia's tale - though it broke into the flow, it helped to ground the tale beautifully. The personalities you've lent to the thieves are diverse but play off each other well, and add a nice dimension to the story. It's pleasing to see that even in vengeance, the Thief King would surround himself with others. n.n I hope to read more of it as it's crafted, so please carry on. 3
