I love how you used the concept of a play to cover up how you wrote the chapter. It's almost as if it's directed at us, when it's merely how Beast Boy is seeing things.

Man, this was a great concept. I believe the biggest joy of every author is to have their work have an effect on someone else. This story actually hit very close to home. Actually, it is sorta me. When I was younger, I got the idea that I was perfect and I, effectively, became a snobby jerk but after raising myself up so much, there comes a great fall. I was shocked to find out I wasn't and for some reason strived to be perfect, strived to have people like me. Needless to say I got really low self-esteem then emo and rebellious then very cynical, conceited, self-absorbed and all those phases some teens go through. One nervous breakdown later, I found out how stupid I was. I was done hating myself and I found out how foolish I was in striving for perfection which is unachievable. I just had to be myself. I'm barely 17 and I realize I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn so to quote you, "cue the rest of my life". I started regressing to my old ways a while ago and this story and that quote at the sorta just slapped me in my face so thank you for that. Don't stop writing because who knows who might read ur works and be motivated to, I don't know, do something with their lives, change it for the better. So thanks.

A very enjoyable fanfic. Some of the comedy in here wouldn't be out of place on an episode of "Teen Titans Go!" Which I mean as a compliment because that show is pretty damn funny.
