Well this is just a little bit of perfection. I like the subtle ways Teresa takes care of him, the shoulder rub was especially sweet. For some reason, the way he started awake and straight into talking really got to me. Like, even though everyone had clearly seen he was upset, he still felt he had to say something, instead of just rushing out. Ugh, the entire thing is so bittersweet.

Very VERY good. I really liked it. I haven't had the chance to see much of The Mentalist lately, and this was just fantastic to read. Very good job.
