A character who doesn’t conform to traditional gender roles always has my heart!

I'm 3 chapters in and I'm really frustrated about Audrey's character. For a Ravenclaw, she seems to be quite daft.
She's in an environment where Hogwarts is filled with Death Eaters and just last night she barely survived a particularly vicious and sadistic Amycus Carrows and any moment there's a possibility that she'll be attacked or even killed and what does she do the next day? Leave her wand in her dorm of course!
She does a lot of dumb stuff to like prefering torture over staying a night recupperating in the medical ward? Not wanting to go to dueling club just cause "she doesn't want to be like them" despite the consequences of torture and punsihment? She already got shanked in the face by Carrows and bleeding all over the place and yet she still have the guts to not go? She didn't even thought of the consequences of her not going to her yearmates! Knowing how sadistic the DE are they might even punish other students for "not being complete" during the headcount or some shit!
She didn't even want to go until Ginny pointed out that they can learn how the enemy thinks and what they're attacks are like. Isn't she supposed to be smart? She's in Ravenclaw for a reason! Ravenclaws don't have to be uber smart all the time but so far she shows none of Ravenclaw traits.
I know that you're just trying to make her seem brave but so far everything just paints her as brave to the point of stupidity.
There's a lot of plot holes too and 3 chapters in its already showing like how Snape didn't heal Audrey in time despite knowing the effects of a dark curse like Sectumsempra. I mean he did create the spell, so he should know that healing has to be immediate and yet he waited and even escorted her to the Headmaster's office while she's bleeding all over the place?
He should have healed her asap! He's the headmaster of the school, why wouldn't he heal her? And even if he'll be accused of helping "Potter's side", he could just say that he didn't want a Pureblood to be injured seeing as he did threaten the Carrows with telling Voldemort that Amycus almost killed a pureblood. And if he really wanted to be careful he could have just taken Audrey in sime dark corner and healed her while nobody's looking BEFORE taking her to the office.
Also traveling back in time to befriend Tom just to find the diadem? They could've just asked the ghosts (spec. the Ravenclaw Ghost). I mean if Luna could thought of that then why can't Dumbledore AND Snape didn't? That was just too drastic of a step to take and seem like just a forced plot convenience to have Audrey meet Tom.
I will continue to read this since there has to be a reason for this to reach 1k faves/follows but so far 3 chaps in, I'm already frustrated.

I remember reading this in the winter of 2009 and I think this was the first good fanfic I'd read in my life. I wonder how it would've ended.

Excuse me, but I have to criticize again.
If the Fitches are such a strict family with pure-blood etc., why should Audrey's father be an Auror? It contradicts itself.
Well, maybe there will be an answer in future chapters.

You write really well , but I pity the fact that Audrey is such a loud shall portray the girls of our days but except you're not depressed and maniac like many of these girls, there are a huge amount of calm, intelligent girls today who would love to behave like back then.
So, I'm interested in your story-telling but it bores me that Audrey is such a cliché of our times.

Oh. My. God! How have I not come across this story before?! This is so good! One of the best Tom Riddle/OC stories I've ever read. I absolutely love Audrey and her personality, and I love how her relationship with Tom and all the other characters have developed since the start of this story. Now that Tom and Audrey are in a relationship, I'm dying to know how this story will progress! But I see this story hasn't been updated since late 2017 and that's kind of demotivating... I hope this story hasn't been abandoned, I'd really love to read more!
