This story was on hiatus for years? That's terrifying for me since this has become a favorite of mine. I seriously into the thought process of each character.

Welcome back! I love the flavor of Jaedenar here; it feels like a small town whose black market just absorbed everything else via financial osmosis. Even the smells you describe are so vivid, I feel like I’m revisiting some of the worse flea markets I’ve been to.

I squeal like a big girl (bearded lady, I guess?) whenever Nerothos interacts with other demons. I guess I’m like a annoying sitcom laugh track when I’m reading this, but I can’t help it: your grasp of demonic lore is strong to the point that I learn about it by reading his exchanges and inner monologue. I actually had to jump on wowpedia twice to brush up on a few things (Nathreza was wrecked, apparently?). Beltherac seems insufferable by their standards...I smell trouble brewing.

Callista is so driven, but what a conversation to end on. I won’t put spoilers in this review, but wow, I think she met the most presumptuous a-hole on that side of Kalimdor; I actually laughed at a few of the comments. I imagine she can’t risk appearing as anything other than what she portrayed there, but I bet she’d like to set someone on felfire.

Excellent execution! I hope that you find enough free time to continue this. As good as it was, the chapter also got me itching to see the real fun stuff. ;)
