I feel so sorry for Edmund. So he trusted this guy with their battle-plans/ blueprints and it turns out that he betrayed Ed and so he had to go and kill him. And Edmund got hurt in the process, too! And to top it all off, he got himself thrown in prison for it. Good thing Peter came to his rescue, though.

But I just love how worried Peter gets over Edmund. I wonder what was going through Peter's head when he saw Edmund in chains, hurt, and can barely stand. I kind of wished that Peter was a bit more gruff toward that warden for messing with his brother! Their relationship is just so cute!

I kind of wish there was more, but this was absolutely amazing from start to finish!

A really heart-warming description of the brotherly love between Peter and Edmund; the relationship between them has the perfect amount of everything: care, love, anger at the other's stupidity. And the setting of this story was a splendid background for showing exactly that, because it also shows how much they care about their own country, and the juxtaposition of the two kinds of care and the conflicts that occasionally arise from them are very well described (Edmund insisting that Peter should debrief him and Peter's reluctance to do so; "You're never doing this again"..."Until the next time"). It is a story that balances perfectly between the trials they face as Kings and their love for each oher which supports them through no matter what. And in the end, it is love that prevails, and even "the next time" seems less daunting.

I would have like to have been a fly on the wall when Edmund convinced his brother to let him go on this infiltration mission.

"My name is Pevensie. Edmund Pevensie." He whipped the dark glasses off his face, the quick movement suggesting a cat's lethal grace. His white teeth glimmered in the twilight hues, catching the dying sun's rays-

Oh god, please shoot me.

But really, this is a lot deeper and complex than a Bond film isn't it? (I would love to be a Pevensie Girl though!) All humor aside, you've taken the commonly held notion of EdmundSpy (or something similar), and really made it a rich and complex story. But what I love is how you detail the *aftermath*. After all, all deeds have consequences, emotional or physical.
