Another great story! The first scene made a lot more sense as time went on. I love how descriptive you are with everything. I could "see" everything that you wrote very clearly!

Wow, this was an absolutely riveting story. I stumbled upon it in a community posting and within the first few sentences, I knew this was going to be an amazing tale.

I love your style of writing; your descriptions of Dean's descent into despair with memories of Sam's "death" were extremely vivid. Sam's "death" in the woods really got to me; Dean's devastation so real. I couldn't help but think that all of these feelings of pain would actually happen in a couple of months when Sam really died in Dean's arms in Cold Oak.

I felt a sense of urgency to help Dean get over his pain, just as Sam did when he rescued Dean from Meg's clutches. He felt so helpless with no way to work Meg's poison out of his brother's system. And when Dean finally realizes that Sam isn't dead, the reunion is all we could ask for.

Well done. The premise for this story was very inventive. Making Dean relive all of the close calls and then changing the endings in a tragic way was very believable as something Meg would do for revenge. I like the loyalty Sam displayed at staying right at Dean's side even when Dean didn't recognize him. Thanks for the schmoop, I never get enough of it.

"He realised that Dean at twelve looked more like their Dad than Dean at twenty-seven does and the thought saddened him."

-Dunno why but it really made me a little teary and that means you're good *lol*

You captured the boys very well,although it was real schmoopy and we all know that it wouldn't ever be this schmoopy in the actual show - BUT I loved it the way you wrote it and it's fanfiction after all so it was purely perfect. Uh, brotherly love,angst and hurt!Dean!

To me, there is an innocence with the a younger Dean. He is not so jaded and there is a simpler relationship between the boys.

How sad that Dean was looking for his father that was never coming back.
