Great story idea. Vegeta really is a strange man but he has a dark past so it's not all his fault. Really interesting topic. Why did vegeta do what he did and kill those innocent people at the tournament? Bulma should have confronted him about that. Why did he easily allow himself to be controlled by Babidi? Great story though, it was well written.

I love the slow, cozy and warm interaction between them.

Maybe I'm wrong but is Mercury a metaphore? All the time he is thinking about the 'star' and how close the escape is, and when he realises he doesn't want that anymore it disappears behind clouds? Ah, one of the most beautiful fics I have read and possibly because it is so simple, and kinda real. Not faking it, sincere yet, not harsh.

I was reading the reviews for this fic and realised - I never did one myself, despite the fact I have had this on my favourites list for a good few years now. This story is really beautiful. You use a very simple scene to describe a profound realisation in Vegeta. The writing style is beautiful, pulling the reader in. I love the interaction between B/V too. As much as I love the scenes of those two bickering, I also love seeing them when they get on. After all, there must have been quiet moments at SOME point in their relationship. But anyway, a very good job on this story and it is constantly one I read when life is stressing me out as it makes me feel very peaceful. Good job!
