But i love it ayways, there's only a few stories with hijimitsu love.

This is easily the best HijiMitsu fan fiction I have ever read. *o* It's really sad, yet beautiful at the same time. I liked how you used the 'sky' here. Yep, it's true, we're all under the same sky, and Mitsuba saying those words made me feel that the distance between all of us isn't that far after all. The characters weren't very OOC too, so good job with that! Even the best fan fiction writer has trouble with their characters being OOC, I'm sure of that.

Keep up the good work! This one is definitely going on my favorites!

This is so beautifully written! The descriptions and how the characters are completely in character bring this to life! I love it!

And its a shame there isn't many hijikata/mitsuba fics around. And I remember I cried a lot when she died, especially with hijikata and gintoki eating the super spicy chips in the end. ;_;

This is great. It flows nicely and the characters are very in-character. I could see them doing what they did in this story; it's as if I'm watching the show. Keep it up. There's so little HijiMitsu/Gintama stories.

I don't really have enough time to write a detailed review since it's midnight over here, and this review is probably going to be riddled with errors, so I'm terribly sorry. However, I've got to say: Bravo!

I'm so happy that I've found an inspiring and thought-provoking HijikataMitsuba fic. The emotions that pervade the entire oneshot is excellent. The rhyming at the beginning of the story is really great because it juxtaposes Hijikata's obsession and possessiveness toward Mitsuba. And the worry Hijikata displayed when he saw the Extra spicy label is so tear-jerking because it really reflects the hidden care he has for Mitsuba.

And the part with the bloodstained road and Mitsuba's pure and wise soul is such a great contrast because it further demonstrates Hijikata's concern for Mitsuba's life.

And the symbolism is behind the sky is just brilliant because it not only foreshadows Mitsuba's death, but it also shows that Mitsuba's spirit will always be with everyone because well...everyone can always see the sky, which means everyone, including Hijikata, will always remember Mitsuba. Plus it sets up the tragic irony in the end: Mitsuba didn't really care about her own happiness because she found happiness in being with everyone.

Also, I'm very happy that you've decided to characterize Hijikata as protecting his personal assassin to protect Mitsuba's happiness and fulfill her promise simply because in my perspective, that's probably why Hijikata still continues to put up with Sougo's attempts to assassinate him.

Again, I'm very sorry if this review is riddled with errors. I'll just end this review by saying that I'm putting this among my favorites, and I'll make sure to read and review your other stories in the near future since you've got a terrific writing style, and I need more of your writings. That was the most moving Gintama fanfic I think I've read on here. Hijikata and Mitsuba never fail to make me cry, their relationship was so heart wrenching. You definitely need to write more of this pairing, you're excellent at it!
