Ok. Only one minor major criticism. You let Gibbs off for decking Tony far too easy. I get it Gibbs was a marine and one of the best fighters but I think tony should have taken him to ultimately prove why had been Gibbs best no1.

i love this story especially the kate chapter. I was never a kate fan to be gin with as i had always thought her to be up her own arse. But I also love seeing Tony not being the clown for once, because we saw a glimpse who Tony should have been when he took on Eli. But I also love they way you shape him to be the best of the best and with his military training the team will become even better

Recently found this story and wanted to tell you how FABULOUS it is. I'm sure like many fans I kept trying to come up with any reasoning for how the writers crapped all over the Gibbs/Tony dynamic in Season 4. I'm sure TPTB were a huge influence on the direction the show took but the marginalizing of Tony and installing Ziva (and to some extent McGee - although that kicked into high gear in later seasons) as the heiress apparent broke my heart. Thanks for providing some sense of sense to totally reprehensible behavior toward Tony by all of them (except Jimmy and partially Ducky).

I could scream for this being unfinished, but mostly I just want to thank you for writing and sharing all that there is because it's glorious. So, thank you.

I don't blame you for how you want to write your (amazing) story, but in this case, I find Gibbs unforgivable. Ignoring everything ELSE he did, that paragraph about what he REALLY thinks of Tony stomped over any line there was to cross and threw it in the trash.

Poor Tony and poor McGee. He can be a real douche sometimes, but his cruelty is never meant to actually be cruel, he just lets himself get messed up when it comes to Tony.

I don't care HOW fucked his mind is, he has no right to treat anyone that shittily! And refusing to apologize for anything is just his excuse for never accepting responsibility.

Good. I'm glad she isn't blaming Tony, and that she'll actually support him.

I hope Ziva DOES stop trying to manipulate him and start trying to be his friend. That'd be healthier for all of them.

So this is like the third time I've read this story, and it is wonderful, as always. I am curious though, was bit about "childish things" a purposeful Edna St. Vincent Millay reference? If so, it was very well done!
