The first section contains a lot of g-rated, rape vibes. Gary's manipulating Ash into kissing him, don't you see it? He's taking advantage of him, and then jumping to wild conclusions when Ash tries to tell him that he didn't want it. Ash clearly didn't want to kiss Gary, but Gary turns it all around and plays the victim.
That's not healthy. He pressured him into it, which is NOT how you deal with that kind of subject. Then by saying 'couldn't he have come up with something a little more compelling?' Gary's not feeling guilty or remorseful because he pressured Ash into kiss him (which is what 'How do you know if you've never tried it?' means; it's the same 'reasoning' used when people pressure their friends into doing drugs), but because he wasn't COMPELLING enough. That's saying that with enough conviction, he could turn Ash gay. The fanfic is as homophobic as Gary's accusing Ash of being.

Just because it's gay does not make that situation okay; apply it to a boy forcing it on a girl, how does she know that she doesn't like him if they've never kissed? If she didn't like it, or was clearly uncomfortable, it's OBVIOUSLY because she was leading him on, or was lying to him. The situation is unhealthy, and those implications are not 'cute' or 'romantic'.
