I really hope you come back to work on this story at some point in the very near future! I am also a fan of the change in direction that the story has taken.

I say new direction. Maybe someone like Pavarti or Lav can catch them, and being the gossips they are, word spreads. Hermione has to choose whether she comes out and is herself with Ginny or denies it and loses Ginny forever.
I say she comes out and then Ron treats her like a sibling. It'd make hermione's torture interesting. Ron yelling for them to switch places because he knows it'd kill his sister to know her love is being hurt and because he thinks of Hermione as one as well, and knowing two members of family can get hurt is too much. He'd be desperate to take that burden away.

(I'm obviously not a Ron basher. Just a lesbian enjoying this story.)

This was a great start for a angsty and fic of a jealous and closeted Hermione. Ginny going for whatever & whoever she needs to keep it together. If you ever add more that would be awesome, but its been Years so I'm doubtful. Ciao, Kali

I get the feeling that no new chapters are forthcoming. Too bad, since this was turning out to be quite interesting now that Ginny's taste for girls is public knowledge. I will still post a few comments because maybe that will light a spark for updates plus it gives me a place to work out the thoughts in my head that this story has evoked.

Being gay or straight never really seemed to come up as a social issue in the original books, as far as I can recall, so whether or not Hermione's fears have a legitimate basis is something this story doesn't seem to address. Obsession over blood purity and furthering of old-family bloodlines could possibly be considered a parallel analogy but even that is a bit sketchy. Hermione is Muggle-born, therefore she probably learned at an early age that being attracted to someone of the same sex is not considered normal. Maybe tolerated, but not normal. To think children are taught there is a right kind of love and a wrong kind of love makes me angry but also sad. I couldn't disagree more with the sentiment but I do think that is something Hermione would have learned in the Muggle world growing up in 1980s-90s England. Hermione could very well be transferring her Muggle world views on homosexuality into the Wizarding world where being gay might not be looked upon as such a horrible offense. In point of fact, JKR stated Dumbledore was gay in a Q&A at Carnegie Hall but I don't think she actually addressed homosexuality as a social issue. I think I'm getting off-track so back to the story.

One thing that kind of creeped me out was Sarah. Her being only 12 years old kind of shifted things out of the realm of young love into a darker, more depraved realm of storytelling. That's not to say the story was no longer believable. Far from it, because I knew girls like Sarah when I was growing up. Most of them had older sisters like Jen who, may or may not, have had a corrupting influence on their younger sisters. But just because they are out there, doesn't mean I want to read about them. To take a quote from your own story, "I don't have anything against it, it just isn't me." Ginny using Sarah just to make Hermione jealous with the hope that she can leverage that jealousy into a coming-out is a very promising storyline. Dangerous with big potential to backfire with all sorts of collateral damage.

If writing HP fanfic is still something you like to do slightlysickpsycho, please consider bringing this story to a conclusion. Happy or sad, an actual ending is much preferable to the state of limbo the story currently occupies.

I can only hope that you would finish this but it seems as though those hopes would be in vain because you haven't in such a long time. But I really hope you do nonetheless.

I like your characterizations of Ginny and Hermione. I mean, like most HG/GW stories, they can often be so irritating because of their extreme stubborness and that is the case with this one. I get frustrated just reading this, so kudos. I think you portray the characters very well. It is also nice to find good HG/GW stories that aren't ridden with spelling and grammar errors. Makes it much easier to read :)

I do have one critique though. Your story focuses so much on Hermione and Ginny (which it should because it is centered around them) but it would be a nice change of pace to have other characters more present as well. I mean, you have done a great job with the characters Ginny has been with, and the Luna and Neville scenes are interesting. I would just personally like more Harry and Ron because those two are so much a part of Ginny's and Hermione's lives. It seems odd that they are not more present in at lest the chapters where they are at school. Just a suggestion.

Again, I love the story. I hope you update again soon. I'd love to see a happy ending :D
