Without the author's note at the top just about the whole thing would have been incomprehensible, which I'm forced to say is a strike against you. I appreciate your making the reader work a bit and pay attention, but I think you veered too far in that direction. There wasn't quite enough to be sure who was speaking, when, where, etc.

That being said, I really enjoyed it. I think one of the best things about fan fic is that it allows us to exchange perceptions about a subject we all enjoy, point different understandings out to each other. And unlike a lot of fics that try to have an Aha! moment while being mysterious, yours actually DID have one - a fantastic one that inspires readers to see ROTJ with a fresh twist of the kaleidoscope. In fact, that I criticized you in the first paragraph is actually a sort of backhanded compliment; proves your writing energized my thoughts on a higher level than ninety-plus percent of the other writing on this site. :P
