AutumnRoseSummerLily chapter 2 . 1/1/2012 I like the story and I really like how you have managed to convey the characters emotions so comprehensively. Please update soon! |
hppjfan371 chapter 1 . 4/18/2011 AWESOME! And, funnily enough, from where you are is a song I wrote awhile back! :) keep on writing! You pay so much attention to deatails, and that's usually what I pick about. That and quotes. Oh, now I'm just babbling. ~E.K.H./ Alyris |
Dawnmist 11 chapter 2 . 11/24/2009 I absoulutly love this story! The amount of detail and the way you describe what happened to Lucy is so well done. You truely brought out the emotion of the scene, with Peter's desprete efforts to save his sister, Edmund and Susan trying to help him, and pretty much everything else in this story. It almost brought tears to my eyes, which very few stories ever do! Excellent work, please update soon! ( |
snowstargirl chapter 2 . 11/22/2009 Yikes! Character death, indeed! Well I can’t say you didn’t warn me. This is very sad (I nearly cried), but I think you’re doing a wonderful job with it. What a horrible shock for Peter. (And everyone else.) I wish his sister hadn’t had to die in order for her siblings to see the way down the gorge… but what a powerful reminder to the rest of us to listen to those who have a strong relationship with the King the first time they point us in the right direction. I hope the children find Caspian soon. I wonder how they are going to cope with their sister’s death? |
snowstargirl chapter 1 . 11/22/2009 Oh wow! I’m so glad Peter and Susan found Aslan again. I liked the way you were able to let the reader understand what Susan was thinking. Her prayer was beautiful, and it’s so nice to see sibling bonding, especially between the two older siblings. I really liked that Peter said, “It isn’t by your tears or love that I can be saved, despite my desires otherwise.” I could tell that he loved his sister but realized that only Aslan could save him. How awesome! Susan’s devotion to her brother was admirable, and even moreso was her devotion to the Lion! I’m very happy now! (If a little worried about the impending character death…) (By the way, I’m sorry it took me so long to find time to read; I’ve been looking forward to reading this story for a while.) |
TheOneWhoWasForgotten chapter 2 . 10/17/2009 I love this! I didn't see that coming. I love how you made Peter, Susan, and Edmund react. And I love Trumpkin! This is an awsome story. Update ASAP! |
vdhd chapter 2 . 10/9/2009 so sad. ( |
barelypassing4sane chapter 1 . 9/15/2009 Wow. I'm going to start off by saying welcome to the C2 of Lucy and Peter fluff and that I loved this. You where able to put different bonding scenes into a story and yet they don't overwhelm each other. I particularly loved when you had Lucy speak as a adult and Susan's laugh about never being able to keep track of Lucy. Are you planning on continuing this? |
Avonlea Inspirations chapter 1 . 9/13/2009 Honoured beyond words to be the first to review. (If this is, indeed, the first review). I shall try to give you a long review, detailing what I enjoyed. I absolutely adore the beginning part, where Peter is reflecting on the kind of person he has been for the past year, and how he wants to change it. I love his thinking of Edmund, as steadfast and loyal in the past year, never failing and always faithful. You've given a brief, yet poignant glance at Susan here. The Gentle Queen around her siblings, yet the mature young woman around the adults. I love how Peter thinks of her as distant and foreign, when really, she's just trying to adjust and be the young lady everyone expects her to be. Lucy really is Peter's favourite sister here, just like in the book. I love Peter's protective, guilt-complex. Reaching out for those he loves, yet afraid to do so, and thus hurting them. I loved the line about how the tears had been the rhythm by which they were lulled to sleep each night. It's so wonderfully sad, and gives me that tight little feeling in my chest; for, of course, that is how it must have been. No wonder Peter's feeling awful! Lucy's so trusting, isn't she? After the way Peter has treated her in the past year, she's the one to comfort and console him. She's the one to listen to his confessions and offer sympathy. I love the fact that he wipes away her tears and whispers, "I love you." It's one of those perfect sibling moments. I love how everything is alright between them! She feels loved and it shines through her tears. Gosh, I love this fic. Then we have the Ed-Lucy bonding, at just the right time, may I add. He understands what she's going through, and gives her the comfort that only two souls who go through a similar experience can give. He knows how happy she is, now that things between herself and Peter have been sorted. Edmund is perfect in his role as secondary protective brother. There is the Peter- Susan bonding, too. I love how you have her *laugh*, a genuine laugh, and Peter finds it foreign and strange. I adore his reaction to the laugh. Then we have the more sombre reflection on Susan's part, ever the surrogate mother, in which she worries about Lucy's safety. And finally, you gave me this dreadful sense of foreboding, thanks to your final paragraphs. Everything is too peaceful. Too happy. Lucy is almost an angel, all smiles and innocence. And then she fell. A rather simple way to describe her fall, which I enjoyed, and I look forward to immense angst on Peter's part, and immense guilt on Edmund's in the next or later chapters. (If you intend to continue, that is). I particularly enjoyed the line: "The most dazzling beautiful beam her siblings had ever seen." It just makes the fact that she fell. That she is ::dead::. Ever so much more heart-wrenching. In short, I completely loved this fic and look forward to anything and everything you write in the future. Sincerely, ~ Avonlea Inspirations. |
