Reviews for Twenty Questions
Kelardry chapter 3 . 5/16/2013
This story has been delightful to read. The plot and characters have been believable and interesting. After this long, I'm not sure if you will update again, but I will certainly check on it about once a month. I thought I'd let you know as a sort of encouragement to continue if you so choose. Thanks for the story so far!

You are so cool.

I love this fic. There are so many cr*p Batman fan fics here, and then, poof, I find yours somehow with this wicked awesome protagonist that I find myself rooting for. Your voice and tone combine into something brilliant and witty. Your story is laced with intelligence and dry humour, and it's very well done. The style is effortless, easy going, and really entertaining. Way to go!

I can't wait for the rest. This is so awesome.

This is great - I don't think I've ever come across a Riddler fanfic that used the first person. One thing I noticed was that even the humour used in the story in general was very Riddler - dry and sarcastic. That works very well to make it feel like you're viewing the situation from the Riddler's perception. I like how you've incorporated his inability to lie, too.

One thing I think could be done to improve this would be to show, not tell, his obsessiveness. The interest in riddles is apparent, and the passive-aggressiveness, but the obsession is just referred to and never actually shown. However, you may be planning to have his 'Riddler' characteristics turn up to eleven when he finally goes off the deep end, which would work.

I'm so excited you're posting this story here! :-D LittleBiscuit linked "Twenty Questions" from deviantart at some point, and I really enjoyed it a ton-just lacked the account to comment on livejournal. Your characterization of Eddie is oodles of fun, he seems to be in character, and I'm very excited to see Black Mask on the horizon. Will need to hold off on a more in-depth review until I've got a bit more time/am not exhausted, but really psyched to see where you go with this! :-)

Okay, I’m really enjoying your Riddler. When most people would be too shocked to do anything, he starts analyzing. It fits perfectly.

This story format works well too, helps break the up the flow so the story can jump in time. The image of Riddler telling a story to the officers amuses me as well.

This starts out well. Good grammar and all technicalities are exemplary, which is admirable.

The story seems intriguing and Riddler feels very much in-character. I liked the emphasis on the fact that he never lies, even if it is always a chore to understand him.

His interaction with the other scientists is pretty good. The pressure they’re pouring on him is tangible and so is his resolve.

Very nice.
