this was a good story but not great. for the most part you got the characters right but id never picture Eric saying your so hot. that would never happen. 7/10

Oh, this was so good. I hate that it took so long for me to get around to it, because really your writing is just fantastic. There's a reason you're on my faves list. :)

I think you might've fixed the abomination that was the entirety of season four with this, heh. I like thinking that the reason they hadn't done this since before Speed died was because they really couldn't be alone together, thanks to the undeniable sexual tension between them. Speed was like a buffer, so to speak. And now that he's gone, Eric and Calleigh alone together leads to moments just like this.

I love daring, seductive Eric, heh. Love him touching Calleigh; her cheek, her lips, her hips. He's so forward with her, and this is what I'm left wondering myself -

“Yeah, and what about tomorrow? Will you like me then, when we have to work together? Will you like me this weekend, or will you have moved on to some girl you met at a club?”

What might've happened if this had ended a different way, if Calleigh had found herself unable to keep from giving in to his touch and his declarations, you know, if she hadn't been thinking quite as rationally as she was...

Love the journal idea! I bet Eric would've been rather opposed to that too, heh. I love that he utilizes it here instead of going out and doing what he's been doing lately. And I *love* this - 'He wanted to regain Calleigh’s respect. An eyeroll and a condescending comment from her had cut deeper than anything else had in the past year.' Aww...

And I just love the way you ended it - that was perfect. I loved this, and I apologize for not reading it when you first posted. This was fantastic, and now I get to catch up with everything else you've written lately :)

I freaking loved this! It was perfectly Eric and Calleigh then and I can totally see this happening during season 3/4. I absolutely love little pieces of them like this, it totally explains their tension. They were both characterized SO WELL here... Eric's choice of words, Calleigh's passiveness (she kind of tried to fight him off, but we know she was fully capable of getting him to stop touching her)and finally Eric writing out his anger. Obviously they wouldn't put something like that between them in an ep, but I really wish they would've shown Eric writing stuff out and showing his slow progression to maturing in the way he needed to... I mean, his 'snapping into' settle down mode and finally realizing and taking his feelings for Cal into real action after his shooting is plausible and I liked that, but I think there should have been a slight shift in him towards that beforehand and showing it through small ways like writing it down would've been great. I loved that in this story and writing it down was just SO Eric.

I hope that all made sense... and I can't even stand how much I loved this. I wish you could make a good living writing EC so that you would do it all the time!

Wow, that was such an accurate rendition of a scene I always thought must have played out between them - probably more than once - between Seasons 3 and 6. I love how, though they are both far from ready to admit it and be in a relationship together, they both know that this is more than just a physical sexual attraction to a good friend. That if the situation was different, if Eric wasn't such a playboy and if Calleigh wasn't so defensive and guarded, on some level they know they could be amazing together.

I love her tapping his knee at the bar when she asked him if he was ready to leave, and him staring at her hand, and then him rubbing her thigh lightly in a more-than-friendly manner before they left. And him whispering that she is beautiful after caressing her cheek and lip...such a great moment. I felt the same frustration I felt during so many of these moments on the show between them in season 5-6, where it was so obvious they had strong feelings for each other, but something was just holding them back.

Eric's revalation that he wanted something more with Calleigh than he'd had with other women, but at the same time knowing that at this moment he was incapable of giving her what she wanted and deserved, was something I always felt must have been in his mind through some of the earlier seasons.

And as I always say, you saved the best part for last - Eric writing his feelings down in a stream-of-conciousness only to look down afterward and see only one word over and over - "Calleigh". Maybe this was his first moment of realization of just how deeply he felt for her.

That was so amazing! I could totally see this happening. It was just perfect! Both Calleigh and Eric was so good in character, again, it was amazing!

This was so good, the perfect thing i needed after reading all these depressing spoilers about Adam leaving the show. On tuesday when i was home sick i watched all my CSI:M DVD's, and i think it's nice to read something set in the past. Great job, please write more (:
