I'm not sure I liked the fact that it was all a dream, because I really thought the encounters were pitch-perfect and felt "real". However, I will choose to believe, like Ziva, that this dream was her seeing what was going to happen. I liked Ziva's demeanor, the world-weariness with a hint of her previous attitude. I liked Tony's interaction, the serious mixed with the hint of humor. I enjoyed reading the story; thanks for sharing.

I am anxious to see how TPTB will try to resolve all the serious issues that Ziva's predicament will bring about. While it will take a lot less than a year to bring her back, IMO, they can't gloss over the psychological effects of her captivity.

Your story, as always, is carefully thought out and rich with subtle details. You know these characters so well and find their voices effortlessly. You truly are very talented.

What an intricate piece of work! Fresh and original take on Ziva's felt so tender and bruised,physically and Tony's reactions and spontaneous and loved how he wouldn't give then the twist...! Great job!

Wow. This is one of the best, most realistic portrayals of post-Aliyah events that I've read. Vance's somewhat warranted mistrust and hesitation. Ziva's reticence to see Team Gibbs and be reminded of all that she once had. And Tony's anger and confusion at her behaviour, not to mention his reaction to her injuries. Which... Ouch.

If this is a dream, it makes more sense than any other attempt at reality I've seen. Even if it hurts to read the tension between Tony and Ziva. Be still my Tiva-loving heart ;) Very much a well-written example of 'you can't go home again'.
