Don't think a fic this short has ever succeeded in making me cry this much but not leave me depressed. Wonderful writing. You put in the right amount of detail and have a way with expressing emotion that is beautiful and deep. Thank you.

Unique and touching fic.

Ok wow... nicely done! My favorite part for once isn't my sadistic "yay he's hurt! Bring on the feels!" This time it's the ending and the title I guess. That poem for lack of anything more descriptive made the story even better than it already was. That was ... was... wow.. chills off the feels there...

I see Arthur whining , contrite and having a pity party. As he should. But Arthur is a man of action. I don't seeing him ordering servants to bring in blankets bedding food into Gaius' chambers and a brazier for Merlin's room. Get over yourself, Arthur.

Wow .. I am stunned. I love that poem, I've never heard it before. This story holds a deep meaning, and also has some interesting plot twists and ideas I've never considered before; such as Gwen getting firewood, clothing, etc. From Morgana, meanwhile Merlin got nothing from Arthur. It was so intense, I seriously thought you were going to kill Merlin off! Thank goodness you didn't. A truly wonderful story. Great job.

I just couldn't help but read this again,it's just wonderful.

It is often just the little things that matter the most, the things you don't even think about when they are there and can hurt the most when they aren't. I imagine the "big reveal" went pretty smoothly after this whole near death experience, now that Arthur has already almost lost Merlin once. The canon does imply heavily that the servants were actually paid even if it is not specifically touched-on in detail. And of course "Pneumonia" is a bit anachronistic even if the actual disease was not. Could've really used a strong dose of antibiotics there! Thank you for posting.
