Extremely well-written, although I'm inclined to think it was much less direct than that. He tells Bellatrix he gave the Dark Lord information which led to Vance's capture and murder - since he's trying to impress Bellatrix with his ruthlessness and dedication, if he himself had led Vance to her death like this, why would he not have said so to Bellatrix?

Well-written but distracting, because the firefly theme is as jarringly anomalous as a story about unexplained wild zebras in Nebraska. We don't have them in Britain.

What we do have is glowworms, which are related to fireflies, and a lot brighter - indivisually, as big and bright as a bright Christmas-tree fairy-light. But only the females glow, and they don't fly at all, just climb about in bushes - so the children would look for glowworms rather than chase fireflies.

I love the role you gave Snape in Emmeline's death - love and hate it, because he's one of my favorite characters. I guess, I love how well the role you gave him works. And your Emmeline was perfectly staunch. Great ending :)

Oh, this was haunting and eerie and just incredible. I loved Benjy's defiance and Bellatrix's sadistic anger. And the last paragraph - gorgeous.

Oh, cool idea! I like tree-trapping a lot better than the desertion theory, and it makes sense that something Merlin-esque like this could be possible for JKR's wizards. The beginning was so well written; it really got into Caradoc's head, and the end was stunning.

Oh, Marlene. She's my favorite of the First Order members, in fanon at least, and I loved the way you wrote her. The action sequence at the beginning was just the right mixture of confusion, and then the end ... heart wrenching.

Wow. I love your Dorcas as a sort of Seer, and the way she almost knew about Peter before her death. How you wrote Voldemort coming, not focusing completely on the action but on gorgeous abstract details like the storm, was so powerful. Great chapter :-)
