This chapter doesn't make sense to me. It feels "non sequitur" (Latin for "does not follow") I have no doubts that Eric, even being his most annoying self, wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice himself for anyone of his friends. He does love them.

What bothers me is the fact that the others would degenerate into a mob, pleading cases for their own survival to Hank. I can't imagine them doing that after all of the times that they have faced life and death together.

I certainly wouldn't expect them to allow Eric to go.

Something doesn't feel right here. I wonder if there is more going on.

How typical. Hank let himself be goaded into that. I can understand the stress he is under, but that's not excusable.

Donnova certainly knows what buttons to push.

I think that both of them, and perhaps even Diana are underestimating Sheila, however. She knows Hank very well, and how could she have not overheard the conversation. She's trusting, but she is not stupid.

Poor Uni! Things have certainly gone from bad to worse for the Young Ones. Donnova has definitely become the center of attention here. I keep wondering what to expect.

The composition is good, but the action hits you so fast. I'd think that the encounter's details would be locked in her memory, and thus deserve a more detailed exposition, but overall I'm curious to see what happens next.

Okay - I've more than a few questions, especially given the vampire's reaction. They can wait a bit.

I'm getting a rough sketch of Donnova as a person, and I'm not entirely sure I like what I see. She's a bit crazy, and definitely self-serving, but there is something more going on in her head. I have my suspicions as to who she might be.

Nice quiet chapter that felt rather like the calm before the storm comes. It's interesting to see that there is a place for the misfits of the Realm - who are not something that you ordinarily see.

Good chapter. The conversation between Donnova and Zek was really interesting and it really spelled out Donnova's feelings towards Venger and Dungeon Master.

Positively brutal. This chapter really gives you a glimpse into Venger's psyche from Shadow Demon's perspective and that is decidedly unpleasant.

There is a something more at work here. Who is the lurker? I sense Venger is afraid. Something is coming for him.
