Very interesting story. Your wording could use a little work though; some parts I had to read more than once because of misplaced punctuation marks and the like.

Also, I can't really see Sayu, being five, telling her brother to shut up while her mother was in the room. In present time, that's believable, but the age at when they were kids still had the younger generation being respectful in front of the older.

Other than that, I give you a thumbs up with such an original idea.
