Guest chapter 18 . 2/22/2019 I feel kinda weird commenting on a fix that's almost a decade old, but this is one of my favourite-ever fanworks. I'm not into hetalia anymore, haven't been for years, but I keep coming back to this fic. It hits the right emotional notes, has solid characterization, and honestly has really spoken to me. Thank you so much for writing this. I don't know if you'll ever see this, but thank you. |
Guest chapter 17 . 6/22/2018 Like the reviewer below me, I also think that this story is incredibly well written. The characters drive it and they are so well constructed, especially Russia. I love the way you write him and his relationship with Lithuania. There's so much depth to their dynamic. Have you thought of doing a version of this story from Russia's POV? That would be amazing. |
guest chapter 18 . 5/7/2018 There are so many things I love about this story. The characterisation, especially Liet and Russia (I feel for both of them, russia's humanity comes across so well that I really can't hate him and actually I feel sorry for him, also Liet's reactions and emotions are written so realistically that it's heartbreaking). The build up is the best part, everything is low key in the beginning and the abuse gradually escalates until the last two chapters ;( there are also some sweet, heartwarming moments and the drama is not overdone. Until chapter 17 hit I thought things would get better for Liet, that Russia had taken the hint and that he wasn't going to go *there* BUT nope ;((( The dynamic b/w poland and Liet is interesting - they resist russia together but there is also some bitterness between them and of course crafty russia exploits this to drive them apart. I hope you keep writing - you can describe emotions so well! Seeing this from russia's point of view would be interesting. |
xxtoughcookie chapter 18 . 4/8/2018 Very well written and well researched. I would definitely enjoy of you decided to continue. I like how we truly never know what russia is thinking or what he’s about to so. The suspense is killer. I love Lithuania and Polands characterization. They were really well done. Good work |
Dorito chapter 1 . 3/21/2018 "Laba diena" actualy means either just "hello" or "good day" Besides that. I could definetily see that research was done. Awsome! |
incy789 chapter 2 . 2/12/2018 RL history is really sad. |
Guest chapter 6 . 1/26/2018 January 6th is my little brothers birthday mine's january 9th :3 |
Guest chapter 2 . 1/26/2018 Proud to be Finnish :3 |
Guest chapter 1 . 8/18/2017 Also when I googled Petras Vasiliauskas google told he was a farmer. My point is that you could have chose people who are more famous and not farmers. For example Emilija Pletiarytė, Antanas Smetona, Jonas Basanavičius or one of those guys who declared Lithuania's freedom on 16th of February |
Guest chapter 1 . 8/18/2017 First of all Laba diena doesn't mean good evening. It means good day and it is very formal. You would say it to your boss, teacher or a stranger. Second of all I wish my history teacher would have taught us using this fanfiction. I really like it |
icecreamandfernweh chapter 18 . 8/14/2017 I don't know if you still keep up with reviews on this story, since it's an older one, but I thought I'd write one anyways. This is probably my all time favorite fanfic. I've read it 3 or 4 times since i discovered it 2 years ago (just spent the last 6 hours straight rereading it, actually.) The way you write is just amazing! The suspense and fear is present and perfectly portrayed. This is the type of story I can't put down once I start it, and it's just as good when I read it now as it was when I read it for the first time. If there's ever a time you feel compelled to write a sequel, I think I might faint from excitement. Until the next time I come back to read this magnificently written story |
Iricelli chapter 18 . 4/1/2017 Oh my goddd this story is so GOOD I burned the midnight oil trying to finish the entire thing! I LOVE the way you wrote the characters! Poland and Lithuania are, well, plain awesome. Poland is so badass, brave and strong, Lithuania is smart, selfless, and also quite badass when he's pushed into a corner, and Russia is just perfect - outwardly cute with a threatening undertone, but the "threatening" part isn't overdone! I thoroughly enjoyed this story (although it made me cry a few times... You're amazing at eliciting emotions)! I love how everything fit together so nicely in the story, with the cute tidbits of Russian culture and the portrayal of historical events like rebellions! I can't believe I didn't find this story till now even though it's been up for over 7 years, man, I've been missing out! Hats off to you for writing what is now my favourite fanfic of all time! :) Thank you so much for this wonderful read! |
sassie.lassie chapter 18 . 12/22/2016 This was amazing I'm glad i finished it. Nice view of what happened early WW2 |

Julia chapter 1 . 9/20/2016 Here I am, reading this story for the umpteenth time. This is hands down the best fan fiction I have ever read, and has remained my favorite for years, since the first time I read it in 2010. I applaud your writing skills and use of historical themes as it pertains to the plot. Thank you for this wonderful piece of work! |
