A lovely story, though I don't understand the ending.

I was not sold on this pairing in the beginning. I like the idea of them together. The idea that her sudden departure had caught him off balance. But I like Kisuke/Yoruichi too. I read by curiosity. I was caught up immediately, entangled by the beauty of your words, the desperation in Yoruichi, Byakuya's resentment. The build-up is quite good. Because there was this moment where as a reader ( who didn't watch the anime rebellion sword arc) I started to doubt that he was still alive. Can't believe you have only four review. Thanks for posting !

This was a good story. Cool beans it will be so awesome if Bya turns up at the cat cave.

I liked the increasing desperation of her search. You captured it well. :) Both the parts based on canon and the parts based on your own imagination.

I liked the juxtaposition btwn their "leader" and "hunter" roles, the desire to know everything vs the desire to learn just what you need and live more impulsively. It fit them.

And ofc the whole thing about hiding being "Yoruichi's thing" was cool.

It was kinda funny Yoruichi was ticked about there being a new barrier on her cave. It was also funny she thought either Ichigo or Renji could have made it. They're both so awful at kido. XD
