The piece took a bit to get into - it’s sort of an understated drama, but it’s brilliantly executed. You set a very deliberate tone and carried it through. The story could have easily been melodramatic, but it wasn’t. The characters flowed naturally in their environment.

The best part was the questions you raised - and the truth of the story. You very much showed lack of freedom and the truth that freedom so often lies within ourselves. But you didn’t preach that either, just showed it through the story. It was enough so the reader got the idea, but not so much that they didn’t have to think about it.

I know you got me thinking. I’ve never been in their situation and yet somehow I could relate.

Five stars.

Oh. I should mention... there were a few grammar errors, but I’m trying not worry so much about that. Story is King! (Grammar errors can be fixed though. : P)
