This wonderful description of their kiss has even more meaning for me, as I am remembered of Roy's blindness in the manga (and Brotherhood). I love it! :)

Beautiful, so beautiful! Your writing style is amazing. I love how Riza thought she'd outlived her purpose and Roy didn't need her anymore. Then the last line, "They are what was never meant to be", so beautiful and heartbreaking!

I absolutely love Royai as well as Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" so it was definitely a pleasure to read this and see how it followed the poem. I think you did a wonderful job. I like how it starts, reminiscent of the past with the scene in front of Bradley's as well as the apples-I almost forgot about that!

I love the part where you make it so that Roy doesn't say "I miss you." He just says that he wants her help to furnish the office. It's so true to their relationship throughout the series and adds more tension between the two of them.

Tension that you address later on in the piece as he walks up to her office. I like how you brought that about too, kind of like his legs just took him there and running over things in his mind.

I see what having Havoc in there does, but I think this is the only section that was slightly out of place with the rest of them, just because he stutters so much, and everything else has perfect flow!

But overall, wonderfully written!

This was BEAUTIFUL. This is what makes my constant combing through the FMA fanfic archive for GOOD Royai fics worthwhile. You captured their relationship PERFECTLY. And that final scene, with that amazing written-out kiss absolutely made me melt. I loved this so much.

Their relationship seems so cute! I liked this a lot. Their emotions were portrayed well, and their kiss was perfect; emotion, metaphors, power...I really felt it. The writing at the beginning reminded me somewhat of my style, too. [/random]

Oh, crap, I really should start getting into FMA again. I was a diehard fan, and then I gradually forgot to watch it. Damn.

Anywho, this is /awesome/ Pip! I love the passion in the descriptions, especially towards the end when Riza and Roy kiss! I do remember them, at least, and I think the pairing meshes well. And I think you've done a good job of sticking to the prompt and putting your own spin on this.

And the emotion is just... it's portrayed nicely! The fact that Riza didn't automatically leap into his arms when Roy returned... it's real. So real.

Enough of my babbling. But it really was awesome. .
