Wow that was good. A Naruto HS fic that wasn’t trying too hard to make them act like HS teens and come off as dated a decade later nor a fanfic that tries so little that they just seem like they’re back at Ninja Academy but NA now extends for elder teens. I like how you had them do sports and martial arts depending on their ninja abilities, because people tend to think that being normal teens means that they won’t ever try to be athletic or anything not cliche.

I also like how Hinata isn’t just a cheerleader but did it because she has done flexible things such as gymnastics and marital arts. It also isn’t just a thing to mention but affects the plot later on, as many HS fics in Naruto that make them do sports just say it once and it vanished and don’t have it actually affect them, and as someone who plays soccer, I can very much say that sports are tiring and constantly are in your life.

Sakura is a smart cheerleader and Ino is flirtatious but ambitious as well, as most of the times HS fics give them one-note social group stuff. The Jiraiya parts were just fantastic, and I think making Ichiraku a restaurant as in dating real life one was very cool.

Nice to see a good fic based on a trope many people struggle with not only in Naruto but in general (Homestuck is an example of a franchise where high school AUs tend to fall flat) really.

I never get tired of tour fanfics. This is a great highschool fic, NaruHina is so cute here, I got cavities for the sweetness. Great job and thanks for sharing.
