This story made me feel very emotional. It was fantastically well written. I'd love seeing more stories from you, but this was written so long ago that I guess that's probably not going to happen. Still, you are a wonderful writer.

I adore how you've written Shinon, and this actually feels pretty realistic and canon. Thanks for writing such a wonderful story.

Omg this story is so good. Gotta tell you though I kinda saw the branded thing coming. It's one of the only secrets that someone in Tellius could reveal that would completely screw up their life.

wow I sat down in front of my laptop surfed through a few fanfictions and finally chose an interesting one titled. 'Secrets Buried Deep' Looks all right, 17 chapters should only take a few days to read. (finishes story) Or reading the whole thing in one three hour sitting works. AW I cried at the end you're a great author! You might have wanted to split the little ending part into its own epilogue but its midnight right now and that's the only thing I can think of to say as constructive right now. Wow that's a long review but like I said I liked it :)

I have not enjoyed a story on this site in months, so thank-you so very much to the person who wrote this for breaking my streak. Although I felt that I wanted to be surprised a little bit more (it was kind of obvious what Shinon's secret was going to be and I just wanted a little bit more 'wow' factor when I found out), it was a deeply gripping story and the ending pulled all of my heartstrings in all the right ways.

That's all I can think to say right now; you've stunned me beyond the capacity for thought. ...Well, maybe not. I must comment on the fight chapter. Anyone who gave you a hard time for that should be tied up and locked in a room with Jelaine for it! That was perfectly alright, and I think it could most definitely have happened. This story is SO getting favorited! Quite frankly, I love it, and I can't WAIT for your Naesala oneshot and/or fourshot thing; the Raven King is one of my favorite characters, and if you represent him as well as you did Shinon... I repeat, I can't wait. Thank you so much for writing this so the rest of us can enjoy it!

Wow. Wow. Wow. :O Encore!

This story was fabulous, and very well-written. I really enjoyed how you dug around in Shinon's past, building up on the chapters to show how he came to be who he is, and why his hatred of Ike ran so deep. ...Though, while I can't picture Shinon ever showing a soft side, the circumstances you introduced in your story prevailed, and I was able to picture it very well further on. I think you gave a very good reasoning as to Shinon's personality as well, which is great, because a lot of authors come up with something cheesy, and yours was far from that. His background fit him near seemlessly. :] (Also, as a little side note, I'm happy to see that you spread your story out in to pieces. It helped in building Ike and Shinon's thoughts on one another.)

Needless to say, I really savored this story. (It was very interesting to me, just because I've always wondered why Shinon hates Ike so much, and with the reason you provided, I can't help wondering if that's the truth of it after all!) In fact, I'm even going to add it to my favorites it was so nicely done. ...I have to say though that this last chapter just broke my heart, and I wished you could have ended it...more blithe, as silly as that sounds. It wasn't bad though, just kind of along the lines of tragic, with Ike dying and little Soren bawling his eyes out, promising Ike that he'll be Shinon's brother. (that was a bit wierd to me. o.O) It didn't affect the story's awesomeness overall, but it could have been more cheerful (yeah, I know, I'm lame, what can I say? I like happy endings. O.O).

So...I hope that came across as more as constructive(?) criticism than snubs? BAH, whatever! I'm sure you understand what I'm trying to say! :o Anyhow...I loved this story, but am sad to see that it is over. Great job with it! You are an amazing aspiring writer, and I will be looking forward to future works by you, provided that they were as interesting as this one, of course. ;D

I'm assuming that this is the end, then. I enjoyed reading this; it was a good story, and well written. It was clever how you tied it all together in the end, and you explained it all nicely.

I loved how you went into such depth when explaining the reason why a branded couldn't lead, and Shinon's reason for joining the army.

I really think that I'm going to miss this story.

I was right! I guessed right from the very beginning of the story! Shinon's a Branded. [(Man, I suspected that in the games, thought about it a little. I mean, really, it's a possibility, but there was never any hints to it...but hey, this is fanfiction for a reason. That would be cool though if he was...or maybe he is...Curse you Intelligent Systems! KK, rant over... O.O)] Ohhh snap, I am so good. But you, my friend are better, as you did a great job demonstrating this throughout the story, keeping me guessing. The Ike and Soren comparison is what did it in for me though. Hahaha...

Hmm, I'm curious to see what happens now that his secret has been revealed. Ike obviously won't care, since he know's Soren's secret, it can't effect him or be that surprising much. Haha, I guessed right...so proud. XD

Anyhooooooo, fantastic chapter! Greil's reaction surprised me a bit, because Greil seemed to comeoff as pretty openminded overall, but hey, your the one writing him, so I won't complain.
