You always have such touching Qui-Gon-Obi-Wan fics. This one is so true. Qui-Gon is exactly that way, a stalwart protector. For him, love means protection. For Obi-Wan, love means compassion. So it works out. You've captured them both beautifully.

Good job, you did an excellent job of capturing the fear of disappointing some one you love and respect while at the same time displaying Qui-Gon's true affection for his Padawan. I am looking forward to reading your other stories, please keep writing your characterization is excellent.

Ah... this was so wonderful... acceptance, something a child wants from every parent. I love the image of the painting and could perfectly imagine it as you described it. I only wish that I could draw, for it is a beautiful image.

Wonderful! Very well written, Good job! Loved the part explaining the artwrok, and when Obi-Wan tried to tell Qui-Gon, but ended up asking for free time, haha.

Now, for a bit of constructive criticism. Not that your writing is bad, because it's really not. However, my English and Writing teachers have beat me over the head with the concept of SHOW don't TELL.

E.G. "I felt Qui-Gon gently take hold of my chin. At first I resisted but my Master was persistent I had no choice but to let him tilt my head up until our eyes met."

Don't TELL that Obi-Wan resisted and Qui-Gon persisted, but instead SHOW how he resisted and persisted. Don't forget, it's the little things that count the most. Perhaps, say something like, "I felt Qui-Gon gently take hold of my chin. I continued to stare at the carpet, fighting against my Master's hold. However, Qui-Gon was stronger than I, and I had no choice but to let him tilt my head up until our eyes met."

Don't let that discourage you. Your story was still wonderfully written, and keep up the great work! :)

That was a really nice story. I loved how you described the picture of Qui-Gon. That's a long time that Obi-Wan spend drawing it. The way you described it sounds like it would make a beautiful beatiful painting. Makes me want to try and draw that. If I ever do (which is kinda unlikely), I'll show you.

Hi ! I don't know the Star Wars universe as much as the HP one, but... I really liked that ! Obi-Wan was funny in there... I love the relation he has with Qui-Gon... in fact I'm most fascinated by the Masters-Padawan relationship in general.

Oh, how sweet! the drawing sounds so beautiful. I love how shy Obi-wan is! it's so endearing! (I think that's the word I mean to use to discribe him. you must forgive me, I'm terrible with words!)

...Wow. That's all I was able to think for awhile after reading this. I just sorta sat here, staring at the screen, trying to stop my heart from bursting out my throat at the sheer sweetness of it. It's just so perfect and realistic. There aren't enough Qui-Obi stories out there like this, where there's uncertainty but no nasty angst or anything, it's just so realistic. Or as realistic as fan-fiction for Sci-Fi can be anyway. But, truly you are talented in a way that is rather uncommon, you made it full of warmth without making it sappy or just weird, muddled, or rushed. It's just...Wow. I love it.
