Wow. This story. Just... wow. This is easily one of my favorite stories I've read in this fandom. You've nailed all the characters, and it's great to see how one thing going slightly differently can affect the rest of the story.

During the episodes that you retell, you manage to pull off a good balance of show dialogue and your own dialogue, something that many writers have difficultly with. Not to mention getting the voices of each character fantastically well-written and true to their respective characters.

I also particularly enjoy how you retell the episodes - you keep us guessing a lot, and I like it. Not only with the big stuff, like the with the Beast to smaller stuff, like NOT having Lorne's brain sucked out. I like how the consequences of Cordy not being evil are played out in a logical (though, of course, unexpected) way from the big stuff to the small stuff. I love thus story. I love this story, and I cannot believe that it only has 48 reviews.

I realize it's been almost two years since an update, and the suspense is killing me. I do hope you plan to finish the story. Hopefully soon. :)

I just wanted to say that your story is one of the BEST angel fics i've read.

Your idea and take on season 4 is MUCH better.

I too couldn't stand what the writers did with Conner,Cordy and the rest not to metion having them sleep together yuck.

But you thankfully didn't go down that path and i'm glad.

Having said that i'm happy that you bought Lindsay's character back.

The poor guy desrves to have some things go his way for once after all his been through.

I also like how you bought Eve's character in too.

I look forward to seeing more of Darla.

P. Willow gonna stop by at all seeing as she's a VERY powerful witch and was once the big bad evil.

I bet my money she'll be-able to take Lindsay down or at least weaken him.

Awww... I loved this story and then I realized that there hasn't been any update in a loooonnnngggg while... Boo! But it's a great story and I love the way the plot is entwined so closely and yet far from the original story... It's perfect and very unique! Please update or at least give me a low down as to what would have happened so I'm not left wondering! hehehe... or I'll send a love-sick Angel after you with a crying baby Conner as back-up! lol

Dramatic start led into a VERY effective bit of work; congratulations.

The twist with CONNOR abducting Cordelia was a definite reflection of just how twisted his upbringing made him- along with some interesting insights into why he did that in the first place-, but add in the additional complications of Cordelia seeing Angel and Gwen’s kiss and Lindsey taking it upon himself to manipulate Connor as part of his continued vendetta against Angel, and you’ve got a VERY interesting plot here.

Plus, of course, you took out the whole Connor/Cordelia thing; that bit was just WAY too disturbing (I could tolerate the ‘older woman’ thing, but considering that she was essentially Connor’s MOTHER figure when he was a baby, even with the time-acceleration factor taken into account it just opened up a whole ton of Oedipal-themed issues...).

Still, the new take on “Spin the Bottle” managed to be rather amusing; the addition of Anne there not only made for a plausible way to resolve the situation WITHOUT it degenerating into physical conflict, and the scenes with ‘Liam’ and ‘Queen C’ managed to be kind of amusing while giving them an interesting reason to start talking after their various earlier ‘issues’.

A HIGHLY interesting concept with Aglatheriel, I have to admit; making an alliance with something that powerful WOULD explain how Lindsey got this powerful this quickly and came back with such a large-scale goal when he took another year in the show and his plans were more personally focused on Angel, to say nothing of the being in question making a highly intriguing villain so far that is definitely going to be VERY interesting to fight later on...

Add in such questions as the relevance of Eve giving Angel that apple- what she said prior to the meeting suggests there’s some ulterior motive (Although I somehow doubt it’s the obvious one of unleashing Angelus)-, Lindsey about to pull an Illyria unless they take him out ASAP, and Darla appearing from beyond the grave (Although I can’t help but hope she talks to Angel and Connor at some point; it might be nice for those three to actually have a chance to just TALK with each other, even if they’ll never be a normal family), and this story is DEFINITELY showing some exceptional potential...

Just one minor point I’d like clarified; how can Anne have GROWN UP with Gunn when she originally appeared in Sunnydale in Season Two of “Buffy” and was first seen in Los Angeles at the beginning of Season Three?

I was feeling down today and remembered this chapter..I had to come back and read it. It's one of my absolute favorite chapters you've written for this story. :) I love this story and can't wait for an update. :D

This was exquisite, I enjoyed every bit...well almost...like you said, the sad parts do tend to come in the Angel series. I do love the part with Darla returning... I Really DON'T like her character...except when she's with Lindsay. lol so that's the win win for this. Though if she does leave, I will not fret about it. lol Again awesome chapter can't wait to read more. :)

Oh I bet that was so Darla! :D I love that! I always found the Darla/Lindsay arc to be intriguing...I'm not saying this story will lean in that direction but I do know I'm enjoying the addition. :) Plus I loved how you added Lilah to join the team. :) And FAITH! OMG FAITH! and wesley working together...hehe was one of my favorite parts of the original season 4. lol

Love the story and so can't wait for more. :)

OMG this story is completely addicting...and it's a good thing Lindsay did his thing or I'd be up all night. lol
