psychoanalyst chapter 34 . 7/6
you're a great writer and this was an amazing story. keep it up!
psychoanalyst chapter 8 . 7/6
I think you're an amazing writer, the way they talk, is very much how I imagined the translation from Mandarin to English. That being said, I wish this story is just a little happier...
psychoanalyst chapter 5 . 7/6
Honestly, maybe perhaps my thoughts are not mature enough, but even then, he is a little mean.
psychoanalyst chapter 4 . 7/6
You are an amazing writer but real talk: I've watched many of these imperial dramas for far too long, life back then for a woman is so sad...
hiiragizawa29li21 chapter 34 . 7/5
Read the whole story for two days only! Love your stories.
Dark Hope Assassin chapter 3 . 6/22
Another thing I missed to mention in the previous chapter review is that I was instantly sold on your idea of having Chinese proverbs at the beginning of each chapter. Thematic, thoughtful, in consonance with the theme... just all-around amazing notion! My kudos to you for that!

But more than anything, the superb, catchy and endlessly intriguing interactions between your characters. Especially, of course, what my poor heart was raptly looking forward to - the Syaoran and Sakura interaction. I love how you kept Sakura true to herself, while having Syaoran be his cold, stoic yet in a sense just and powerful self in his presence with her. I like how despite being basically a stone wall, regardless of his state of undress, you have him mellow out just slightly at being within Sakura's hold and having her humming. Now I REALLY look forward to see how their first night together goes. xD

As I mentioned previously, you've set up an amazing premise and I really cannot wait to see how it unfolds. At the same time, I wish I could force myself to pace myself better so that I would get to enjoy this priceless gem you've polished over the years with your hard work all the more.
Dark Hope Assassin chapter 2 . 6/22
... And THEN it continued with this priceless installment and I have to tell you - this is truly an amazing work of art. Your flow in your narrative and your stylish and captivating word flow. You weave your sentences like wonderful marbles together and in combination, they make something powerful and breathtaking. Through my still-currently short stay in this fandom I've seen premises that I cannot agree with at all - a mean Syaoran who is a playboy in modern times, a Syaoran who is much too open and a dorky Sakura I just cannot bear to even think about (even Tsubasa Sakura's image wasn't THAT bad as she ends up being in some fanfics).
And yet... here, it's all in a completely different universe, yet in JUST the right place. I commend you, for the wonderfully set up premise. For keeping the characters true to themselves even in this unexpected historical piece. Once I started reading it, I just couldn't stop right up until I had to get to work. Just amazing world-building and truly breathtaking story-weaving. It just fills my heart with joy with every carefully-chosen word.

What's more, I have to admit that with the way you've build the story and the pacing, although I was incredibly built up towards the meeting between Sakura and Syaoran, I couldn't bear to miss any of the incredible descriptions, dialogue with original characters who were lovable and adding wonderfully to the plot and just all around amazing goodness that just BEGS to have you drink in every single word.

I know at this point it's probably too late but I can agree with your sentiment on Meilin - I've always been a huge fan of the little girl even though she's a bit obnoxious as a kid in the original series and here she has every reason to abhor Sakura's guts for being everything she is not, looks-wise. But I think you did her amazing justice with your exposition and I am looking forward in great trepidation to the additional SyaoSaku interactions to come!

THANK YOU for taking time out of your life to sit down, write this amazing piece of work AND EVEN MORE SO for sharing it with us, the readers. I am very slow to join the party as I can see you've had this going for a while, but nevertheless, my eternal gratitude is to you!
Dark Hope Assassin chapter 1 . 6/22
I have to say that this was a catchy start, especially after I had been searching through the earliest works in CCS fandom in this site and after the first priceless gem I'd found, it was just disappointment after disappointment... but then I stumbled across this priceless work and my hopes went up again. I was quite eager to continue so I pressed the Next Chapter button so fast it made my head spin. xD
FriendlyGuest chapter 34 . 6/20
Loved this story and the ending. I started it last year and just finished it today. You could write this as an original novel. That's just my opinion though.
Wonwordful chapter 32 . 4/28
This was a very lovely, engaging story! If you don't mind me pointing out, the mother of a Chinese emperor did not kneel before her son. In fact, as they lived in a Confucian society, there was a lot of social pressure for the son to appear filial to his mother, to visit her, respect her and treat her well and take her words into consideration. Of course, since this is a fictional world I guess any portrayal is possible, it's just that I grew up in a part-Chinese household and the image of a mother kneeling before her child is so so wrong to me! Still, it is such a lovely story, and your writing is beautiful, thanks so much for writing :)
Wonwordful chapter 12 . 4/26
My heart is breaking for poor Sakura! She was not made for all of this scheming!
Wonwordful chapter 11 . 4/26
I'm so surprised that Syaoran knows how to play the guzheng! It's rare for a man to learn that instrument, even nowadays. (kind of like harps) It is so wonderful to see him so tender with her. I am very much hoping he'll send the eighteen concubines away, oh my goodness! Thanks again for writing!
