Eva Granger chapter 19 . 6/26
I shed many tears. I love this so much! Keep up the good work!
Guest chapter 7 . 5/3
Nobody cares about Nikki! I hate it when people make Sirius OC girlfriends and say it's Lily's bestfriend. If you want to give Siri a gf give him Marlene McKinnon coz nobody cares about OC's
Guest chapter 6 . 5/3
They are being so pathetic towards Cedric as well and they're literally like 'oh harry! Tell us about Harry!' Like come on stop being so selfish!
Guest chapter 6 . 5/3
Um, no, it's not held every 50 years. Honestly Lily, get your facts right. It was cancelled because of the amounts of deaths that happened, and that's why when it was restarted at Hogwarts only people over the age of 17 were able to compete.
stuovam chapter 19 . 2/20
This is such garbage. If you create a Paradise, then let it be a Paradise. People should be equal and pure they should forgive and ask for who do not repent and have no conscience have a place in hell. And you have looters behaving like rotten teenagers. They should burn in hell for this behavior. Snape has redeemed himself completely and this deserves respect. James's behavior shows what a flawed person he is if he grew up he should have apologized for bullying for fun. And why didn't Snape meet Harry? This is how it should be logical. he should have been first with Harry...Harry is a child with a difficult fate and he understood and paid tribute to Snape's memory and respect. I wouldn't want to be in your Paradise. It turns out that if a person made a mistake and devoted his whole life to fix it, then he still does not deserve to be in the world. It's just disgusting. Why write about the afterlife if you're not ready to be open-minded.
Grace4151 chapter 19 . 9/13/2019
I absolutely loved this! the only problem I had was that Regulus didn't get to see Sirius "on screen" because of Snape could make it into the Above Regulus definitely could have.
TJ Jordan chapter 15 . 2/28/2019
Okay, so, I have my own opinions about this chapter. But first, I want to thank you for the hard work you put into this story and I think you did a terrific job. So thank you for giving us this fanfic.

Now, on to my thoughts about this story and some emotions you brought out from me.

First off, I totally agree with a lot of people that Severus and Lily shouldn't have ended up together. Just wanted to note that down because of what I will get to later. I don't mind Sev/Lily stories, but my major problem with them is how they often overlook the flaws and mistakes of both sides. I've started writing my own HP stories and one of them has a massive ? about the romance. I was leaning towards Lily getting with Severus, but the more I wrote the chapters and developed the story, I came to realize how much they shouldn't be together. Big reason is because they don't understand each other. People often say that Lily dodged a bullet in marrying Severus. Well, I say that it's the other way around.

Let me explain.

You have a young boy who grew up in poverty, with (what the books have implied to be) an abusive dad, (possibly) a neglectful mother, and anything else that comes from being in a bad environment. And then you have a young girl, who (again, books have implied) grew up with loving parents (minus the sister) and a in loving environment.

Taking all of that into the equation, Lily could never understand Severus growing up because she lived an opposite life to his. Meaning that she could never truly make him happy or even help him for that matter. He was being brainwashed by Death Eaters in his own house, where Lily was being peer pressured by her own housemates about the rivalry of houses. Lily had everything going right for her, meaning that she could never concept the idea of Severus's life. So I highly believe that Lily could never be the right one for Severus because she didn't have the understanding to be that person.

And as for Severus, he needs someone who can understand him, who can help him, who can look past his surface. Lily could never do any of those things because of her "black and white" outlook at life (as the books imply), never seeing the grey to understand things.

Now, with that out of the way, I'm about to begin the other side of this review about my thoughts on the reactions of James, Sirius and everyone else.

I understand that James is angry at Severus for a lot of reasons. I understand that Severus was out of line in admitting his feelings when its far too late. And I understand the hatred towards Severus for his treatment of Harry. However, everyone (aside from Severus) acts like they are the innocent ones. Including Lily.

I grew up being bullied in school before I reached my high school years. So whenever I read Snape's Worst Memory, I can't help but feel anger towards James and Sirius for being bullies. The feeling of anger, rejection, fear, and desire for revenge are hard to repress when no one truly does anything to help you. I was only saved because I had my loving family by my side. So when I think of Severus, I see a man that I could have become without a loving enivorment in my life.

James and Sirius can talk all they want about how Severus used to be a Death Eater and how he was a git in school, but they helped in pushing Severus down that road! Yes, he choose that life, he made the choice to be a Death Eater for reasons of his own. He is at fault for that. But he realized that mistake once Lily was in trouble, his last connection to his humanity. Is it selfish? Yes, in its own way, but James and Sirius are more selfish than he is! They could have left Severus alone and never bully him! But no, they had to go out of their way to bully him! They did out of bored and even used illegal hexing spells on others as well! They took pleasure in hurting him and making him paraniod of when their next attack would be! I know because I was paraniod in school too. Looking over my shoulder and hoping to get to the next class before I run into those who took pleasure in seeing me hurt in any way. And I remember the fantasies of revenge I would think up. How I would pay them back! To make them feel as I do! I realize now that I was wrong. But what kept me from going down that path was my family at home.

But Severus never had that. He never had wealth or good looks like James Potter, or the attention of the Headmaster to keep you away from harm, or the loving enivornment like Lily to escape to! He had nothing except a House full of people who wanted to use him to their purposes and twist him up! And worse, he had to deal with bullies like Potter and Black outside of his House! How can someone be expected to travel down the path of Light as Dumbledore and the others have called it when those very same people who represent that Light have been nothing but assholes and neglectful of him! Of course Severus would be drawn to those inside of his House! He was a freaking kid with no guidance or healthy environment to help help in making the right choices! When you mistreat someone, you will get a pissed off person!

Sirius Black literally tried to kill Severus when he sent him to Lupin that one night! And even if he didn't mean for him to get killed, which I find hard to believe when his own words were "served Snape right!", the bastard still betrayed his best friend by sending his own enemy to the very place he goes to turn into a freaking werewolf! He never took into consideration of what Lupin would do or feel if he had killed or turned Severus that night! Not to mention that Sirius later believed that Remus was a traitor! Yeah, some friend he is to the poor dude! If Potter hadn't been there to stop werewolf Lupin, it wouldn't have ended well! Sirius can deny it all he wants, but he definitely has a dark side to him that would have manifested further if he was in Slytherin!

And while we're at it, let's talk about that day at the lake! What Potter and Black were doing to Severus was straight up a sexual assault in hanging him upside down and showing off his undergarments! I bet that if this was a girl, no one would have been laughing! If anything, I bet Lily would have actually done something about it.

And speaking of Lily...

Lily was no true friend to Severus! I'm sorry, but it's true! Neither of them were true friends! Sure, they had a healthy relationship at the start, I'll say that. But Lily even actually did anything in that lake scene to stop the moment of bullying aside from telling Potter to stop. Yeah, way to go Lily. I'm sure the the 101 millionth time will work better than the last 100! And lets not forget that she actually smiled during that scene too, when Severus was being bullied in front of a laughing audience (seriously, who the hell finds that funny?!)! Whether if it was because of her finding Potter charming or was smiling at what was happening to Severus, there was no reason for it! How could she find him charming when he's bullying someone who was her friend?! That's like me smiling at the charms of a woman as she bullies my friend or some stranger! And if she truly done amuzement in seeing Severus tortured then I wouldn't hesistate to call her a straight up "bitch"! How is this the woman who could have made Severus happy in any life?!

And while I understand her anger about him calling her the mudblood word, her unwillingness to forgive him is stupid. I've read about characters and seen people in real life forgive others who wronged them for actions/words far worse than what she was dealt! If anything, this goes to show that her understanding of pain and rejection is nowhere near the understanding that Severus has! She can forgive James for the things he's done, but not Severus?!

Just hearing James talk about how he can't let go of how Severus used to be a Death Eater is proof of how much of a hypricite he is. He can be forgiven for being a bully and be happy that he changed in his later life, but can't find the concept to forgive and realize that others can change like him? That they can realize their mistakes and try to make amends? This is the same dude who never apologized for his behavior (Sirius too)! Gah! Now I'm far beyond angry right now!

I know I've been ranting for a while, but I had to get that out of my system, because someone had to point out the big details here! Severus has made his mistakes, but I truly believe he has redeemed himself. And no, Severus did not get off too easy in my opinion. The reactions I expected from everyone feels about right. Of course James would overreact and Sirius would throw Severus's actions back at him, while omitting his own. Even Lily seemed about right too.

Anyway, you did a great job writing this chapter and showing everyone's reaction to Severus. In my opinion, this represents what it is like to be in a room of people who could never understand certain things like Severus and Dumbledore do. People often forget that Dumbledore was going down a dark path himself before realizing his mistakes, and it took losing his sister to see it. Similar to how Severus had to realize his. And if people like Dumbledore can change, then Potter and the others should take a history lesson in that and start realizing that nothing is truly black and white. That bullying can lead people down a dark path, especially when we judge others by something like race, color or even Houses in this case.

Like I said, I understand where everyone is coming from and if they grew more as people to understand beyond what they've experienced, they would see things in a different light too. I get that James and Sirius changed in some ways, but I always find myself struggling with their bullying ways from the past due to my own experiences. It's a hard fight to push my grudges aside and leave them be. Which is why I do relate to these characters, especially Severus.

Great job on the story! You wrote it well! :)
OneDocToHealThemAll chapter 19 . 2/23/2019
Amazing story (obviously some canon mistakes but hey, I am more than willing to overlook them).

Just one thing, where is Hagrid? I mean, he was a dear friend of Harry. Neville? I would have thought that all members of DA and other friends who were dead give him a visit.
Guest chapter 4 . 2/19/2019
I absolutely love it when James refers to Lily as Lilyflower.
And.. This story is exactly like i dreamt it to be like. So, thanks for writing!
sbmcneil chapter 19 . 9/12/2018
This is a great story! It is very imaginative, I love the idea of the monitors letting them know when someone important to them died. Lily and James were a lot of fun. I don't think Sirius would be so immature. While he might have been at Hogwarts, he obviously wasn't when he died. Most of the time he acted like a two year old on a sugar high - I don't think that is really fair to his character.
I would have loved to have seen Lily and James reaction to the Dursleys' arrival. It also would have been nice to learn a little about Harry's grandparents. I didn't really care for Nikki - she didn't seem to do much except complain about Sirius.
It was a little confusing when you started writing the movies - it would have been nice to stick with the books. I think the Triwizard tournament was much better in the books. There were several errors in canon - the Weasleys weren't in the Order the first time around so the Potters wouldn't know them. I can't really see Sirius confiding about his love life to his four or five year old cousin - doesn't make sense. I never had the impression that Sirius spent much time with Andromeda and her family.
I know I've spent a lot of time on what I didn't like, but it is a great story. Its' nice to think about everyone's loved one's happily waiting for them.
