I finished this fic (although it took a while). I really liked it, especially having Yami as a shade. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel now.

I like the story so far (I'm only on chapter 9). It took a few chapters to get used to how things worked in the story, and it helped when you mentioned Eragon and Tolkein. It would have been nice to know that from the beginning, and I'm still not entirely sure how elves, shades, and humans interact in this story, but I suppose part of the reason I like the story is because I have to figure this out as I read more of the story.

...A friend of mine suggested this story to me and then provided the link. I have alternated between cursing and thanking them, because one, this is sheer awesome, how have I not found it before, but two, I'm supposed to be doing school, damn it!

I would love to see the fun Yami has with Dudley.

Wow. I feel really bad for Yami, he reminds me a lot of Rougue from X-Men. He can't interact with people like he would like to because of his nature, and those around him just don't understand that.

You never named the elf child. Please tell me he's Yugi!

My favorite part of this story was probably Yami's thought process, and him fighting with inanimate objects. Totally.
